Background
Summoning and lost identity
Fiore summoned Archer with an arrowhead connected to Heracles and Chiron, expecting a legendary Greek Archer. Instead, she received a white-haired Servant with below-average parameters, an unknown origin, and incomplete memories. Archer could not recall his True Name and initially identified himself only as a modern-era Heroic Spirit. 124 130
Despite his poor numerical parameters, Archer assured Fiore that battle was decided by tactics rather than raw strength. His confidence, combat results, and willingness to protect her gradually earned Fiore's trust. 124 132
Great Holy Grail War
Archer concealed his identity while fighting for the Black Faction. His ability to create and expend replicas of Noble Phantasms allowed him to injure Achilles, oppose Red Saber, and repeatedly confound both allies and enemies. 132 133 134 141
He saved the homunculus entrusted to him by Astolfo after Gordes attempted to seize it, stabilizing the homunculus with his knowledge of Einzbern puppet-making technology. 134
During Amakusa Shirou's attempt to recruit the Black Faction, Archer rejected the plan to alter humanity's past. He argued that grief, effort, and history must be carried forward rather than erased. 168 169
Aftermath
When the Greater Grail became available, Archer used its first wish to heal Fiore's legs. Having no wish of his own, he gave Fiore the second wish; she asked him to remain with her. She subsequently addressed him by his True Name, Shirou. 199
Appearance
Archer is a tall, muscular white-haired man with sharp, raptor-like eyes. He wears a red coat over partial upper-body armor; Fiore identifies the coat as a Conceptual Weapon, though its exact nature is not confirmed. 124
- White hair and sharp eyes reminiscent of a bird of prey. 124
- Well-built physique without exaggerated musculature. 124
- Red coat and upper-body armor with a knight-like appearance. 124
- Commonly materializes a plain black longbow or black-and-white twin swords. 133 139
Personality
Archer is calm, self-assured, and habitually boastful about being the strongest Servant Fiore could have summoned. His claims are supported by his tactical adaptability rather than his low listed parameters. 124 132 149
He is guarded about his memories and future knowledge, fearing that revealing too much could alter events. Even so, he is protective of Fiore, assists allied Servants, and intervenes to save vulnerable individuals such as Astolfo's homunculus. 134 187
Archer values the future built through human struggle. He refuses Amakusa's proposal because changing the past would deny the meaning of those who endured loss and worked toward a better future. 169
Abilities & Skills
Projection Magecraft
Archer can create replicas of weapons and Noble Phantasms through Projection magecraft. He identifies his arsenal as magecraft rather than personally owned physical Noble Phantasms, allowing him to use weapons without immediately revealing his True Name. 133 134
- Produces a large variety of projected weapons, including blades, bows, shields, and spears. 132 153
- Fires projected weapons as arrows, overwhelming opponents with a sustained Noble Phantasm barrage. 132 133
- Can reproduce techniques and armaments associated with other heroes. 133 153
- His low base parameters remain a major disadvantage against top-class Servants in direct physical combat. 124 164
Broken Phantasm
Archer can overload a projected Noble Phantasm and detonate it, turning the weapon's magical energy into an explosive attack. 132
- Used against Red Rider with weapon-shaped arrows that self-destruct on impact or nearby. 132
- Enables him to expend replicas freely, unlike Servants who must preserve their limited Noble Phantasms. 132 133
- The technique can damage even Achilles' immortality when paired with an appropriate weapon. 133
Hawkeye and Analysis
Archer possesses exceptional long-range vision and an analytical ability capable of identifying the True Names connected to other Servants' weapons. 131 134 139
- Identified Black Saber's True Name as Siegfried by analyzing Balmung. 131
- Located Rider, Saber, Gordes, and the endangered homunculus from a distant rooftop. 134
- Can observe battles across Sighisoara and locate enemy Masters from the Clock Tower. 139
- Cannot analyze every target; Red Caster and the unknown Servants beside Red Saber's Master were beyond his ability. 139 145
False Spiral Sword (Caladbolg)
Archer projects and fires False Spiral Sword (Caladbolg) from his black longbow. The released arrow twists space as it flies toward its target. 139
- Used to attack Red Saber from long range. 139
- Functions as part of Archer's unconventional archery, which Saber judges comparable to the finest archers she knew in life. 141
Nine Lives Blade Works
Archer replicates Heracles' Nine Lives Blade Works, a multi-strike technique that targets eight vital points in rapid succession. 133
- Used against Achilles, successfully wounding his otherwise near-invulnerable body. 133
- Demonstrates Archer's ability to reproduce Noble Phantasms that should normally belong only to their original heroes. 133
Rho Aias
Archer can project Rho Aias, a petal-shaped conceptual shield with absolute defensive power against thrown weapons. 153
- Used to block Achilles' thrown spear, Diatrechon Astir Lonchi. 153
- Astonishes Achilles, who recognizes it as Ajax's shield from the Trojan War. 153
Unlimited Blade Works
Archer possesses the Reality Marble Unlimited Blade Works, which transforms the surrounding battlefield through his mana and creates a world associated with his swords. 181
- Activated with Fiore's consent because it requires a considerable amount of her mana. 181
- Removes a battle from an enclosed castle room, preventing the structure from being destroyed by the Servants' clash. 181
- Reflects Archer's ability to create more than a thousand blades. 181
Culinary Skill
Archer is an accomplished cook capable of preparing dishes suited to the cultural origins of different Servants. 130 179
- Prepared Chinese dishes such as mapo tofu and kung pao chicken for Black Lancer. 130
- Earned Astolfo's enthusiastic praise for the meal prepared for the Black Faction. 130
- Used French cuisine as leverage to persuade Jeanne d'Arc to permit another Servant's summoning. 179

Trivia
- Archer's extremely low fame means the Hanging Gardens of Babylon's fame-suppression effect hampers him far less than famous Servants such as Achilles. 164
- His cooking is well-known enough among his allies that he can use food as a negotiating tool. 130 179
- Although he initially claims to have forgotten his identity, Archer knows details about Wang Xiaoming's future Holy Grail War. 187
