Background / History

Yuyuan comes from a wealthy family and was educated by private tutors before entering Advanced Nurturing High School. His father sends him to the school partly so that he can protect his younger sister, Yuan Yuye, when she enrolls; Yuyuan resents the favoritism his father shows her, despite caring for her himself. His parents do not see him off, leaving the butler and Yuye to do so instead. 1 4

His family has longstanding ties to the Sakayanagi family and played a role in the founding of the school. This connection made him acquainted with Sakayanagi Arisu during childhood, although he later distanced himself from her after she changed following a visit to the White Room. 6 46
