Xirui enters Martial Soul Hall Academy's freshman assessment as the third member of Group 1021 alongside Mu Qian and Zhu Zhuqing. She introduces herself only as “Xirui,” without a surname, and is recognized as one of the three freshmen with the highest natural talent. Her reaction to Mu Qian's Yinglong Martial Soul suggests that she recognizes its significance. 45 46

Her origins remain undisclosed. Liu Yun is one of only two people who knows Xirui's true identity and indicates that Xirui once did something significant for Mu Qian, though even Xirui may have forgotten it.
