Background / History
Primordial era and subordination
When the Qianyuan Realm first formed, it was desolate and lifeless. Later, members of the Ling Clan naturally appeared between heaven and earth; some were born with power exceeding that of Earth Immortals. Yinglong was among the greatest of these primordial beings and became the ancestor of the Five Elements Divine Beasts. 1009
At the end of the Primordial era, True Immortals from the Immortal Realm created an ascension channel to the Qianyuan Realm. The Immortal Realm's Heavenly Dao then gradually influenced the realm's own Heavenly Dao, turning Qianyuan into an affiliated world. 1394
This connection limited the realm's growth. Energy was continuously drawn away by the Immortal Realm, reducing the Qianyuan Realm's potential and weakening places such as Ancestral Dragon Mountain. 1394 1520
Destruction of the ascension channel
At least two forces fought for control of the Returning Origin Sword after the Returning Origin Sword Immortal's death. One force used the sword to sever the Qianyuan Realm's ascension channel, while the other attempted to stop it and later struck repeatedly toward the east. 1305
The loss of the channel severely disrupted the Immortal Realm's control over Qianyuan, but it also left the realm exposed to the outside void. 1481
Demon Race incursions
A prior Demon Race invasion created the Absolute Heaven Abyss, a massive rift through which the Demon Race learned the Qianyuan Realm's location. Even a wandering legion caused catastrophic damage, raising fears that a full invasion by True Demons or Heavenly Demons could destroy the realm. 1233
Later, Demon Gods occupied territory throughout the Qianyuan Realm while local cultivators abandoned strongholds and retreated. 1510 By the end of the conflict, the Ghastly Corpse Demon Ancestor had withdrawn to the Demon Realm to recover, while the Fierce Blood Demon Ancestor fled toward the Storm Sea with surviving True Demons. 1565
Physical and Spiritual Structure
Ancestral Dragon Mountain
Ancestral Dragon Mountain is the core of the Qianyuan Realm. Its primordial rank was once comparable to, or greater than, the Yellow Springs, but it was specifically weakened after the realm became an Immortal Realm vassal. 1520
The realm's origin power is hidden within Ancestral Dragon Mountain. Refining that origin requires recognition from the Qianyuan Realm's Heavenly Dao; attempting to do so by force invites Heavenly Punishment or Great Dao retribution. 1528
Absolute Heaven Abyss
The Absolute Heaven Abyss is a world-scale wound where the real world, spatial world, and outer spatial barrier were all destroyed. It directly connects the Qianyuan Realm to the endless void. 1499
- Void energy continuously enters through the abyss and is converted into usable energy within the Qianyuan Realm. 1384
- Formations around the abyss accelerate this energy intake, contributing to the realm's continued growth. 1384
- Repairing it requires sealing the incoming void energy before restoring both the spatial and material layers of the realm; the process could take tens of thousands of years. 1499
Yin and Yang circulation
The circulation of Yin and Yang maintains the Qianyuan Realm's overall stability. The Netherworld serves as a place of soul reincarnation and remains part of this larger balance. 1519
Extreme regions
The far west and far north lie near the Qianyuan Realm's outer edge, where space is unstable and temporary spatial rifts appear. Chaos Qi from beyond the domain enters through these rifts and is transformed into energy resembling primordial spiritual energy. 1246 1299
These regions contain numerous Secret Realms and can nurture Primordial Exotic Beasts not normally found elsewhere in the realm. 1299 1300
Heavenly Dao and External Control
The Immortal Realm controls the Qianyuan Realm through two linked mechanisms:
- Ascension channel — a material connection that draws energy from the Qianyuan Realm and restricts its development. 1481
- Heavenly Dao River tributary — a Heavenly Dao-level connection that allows the Immortal Realm to influence and locate the Qianyuan Realm. 1537
The Heavenly Dao River tributary is both a central weakness and a strategic restraint. If severed, the Immortal Realm would lose the ability to determine the Qianyuan Realm's exact location, but the move could also provoke the Immortal Lords controlling the broader conflict. 1536 1537
The Qianyuan Realm's Heavenly Dao grants Destiny to selected Children of Destiny, expecting them to protect the realm against existential threats. 1233 1499
Major Powers
| Power | Position in the Qianyuan Realm |
|---|---|
| Seven Luminaries Sect | Identified as the strongest known force; the Seven Luminaries Talisman Immortal was once the realm's sole True Immortal. 1383 |
| Five Thunders Sect | One of the realm's foremost human powers, associated with the Five Elements Divine Thunder and the Five Thunders Divine Venerable. 1383 |
| Heavenly Dao Alliance | Alliance founded under the Creation Formation Immortal to oppose the Seven Luminaries Sect and contest control of the Qianyuan Realm. 1438 |
| Demon Race | External invaders operating through the Absolute Heaven Abyss and seeking to conquer Qianyuan territory. 1233 1510 |
| Netherworld | A Yin-aligned realm connected to the Qianyuan Realm's reincarnation cycle and governed by the Lord of the Netherworld. 1519 1520 |
Notable Features
- The Qianyuan Realm once had the potential to develop into a world on the level of the Immortal Realm before its growth was restrained through outside control. 1394
- Its affiliated Mortal Realms provide a path for ascenders to enter the Qianyuan Realm, with hundreds of Ascension Valleys serving as endpoints. 1271
- The realm's current expansion is partly driven by void energy entering through the Absolute Heaven Abyss. 1384
- The Great Tribulation of the Qianyuan Realm is expected to involve renewed Demon Race pressure and requires cultivators capable of prying into heavenly secrets. 1284
