A Teacher to Gods

The boundless snowfield was covered in winding sheets of solid ice.

This was the northern tundra, one of the two coldest extremes on the planet.

Everything in sight was snow-white, with almost no plants visible.

They had already spent one full day and night traveling deep into this land of ice and snow.

The bitter cold here was nothing to Kangqiao and the other four beasts.

In fact, the Water Lizard and Trilobite, both naturally drawn to water, were even frolicking about.

Though they were extraordinary Giant Beasts or so-called gods, this was still the first time they had ever seen such an environment.

Having never traveled far and knowing only sleep and stuffing themselves with food, the sights here were enough to excite them for quite a while.

The Water Lizard was naturally attuned to water and possessed a slight ability to create ice, though that power over ice was far too weak. Water was probably its primary attribute, with ice secondary.

Even so, it could somehow melt the ice here into water despite the extreme cold and keep the water around itself from freezing.

That was quite remarkable.

As for the Trilobite, while it could not melt ice into water, it clearly liked the ice immensely. It crawled and ran everywhere like a foolish deer, sometimes even burrowing into the ice itself.

The Giant Moth and Giant Serpent merely watched, seeming rather bored instead.

"Little Fire Monster, where is that big white worm you mentioned? Why haven't we seen it yet?"

The Giant Serpent flicked its tongue as it looked around and questioned Kaiya, who floated low in the air ahead.

"It should be close. Some time ago, my people reported that the White Worms should be somewhere nearby. There can be no mistake. I ask the great God of Snakes to please be a little patient," Kaiya replied respectfully.

"Oh."

The Giant Serpent had no airs about it. Hearing Kaiya say that, it merely answered casually and said nothing more.

Honestly, the four beasts around Kangqiao had no concept of being gods at all, much less any notion of putting on pretenses.

Their only shared trait was probably their innate aloofness and indifference toward smaller beings.

It was a habit formed over a long time. Used to looking down upon lesser creatures, they possessed a natural sense of superiority and behaved freely as they pleased, though they themselves did not realize it.

Whenever one of the Giant Beasts spoke, Kaiya immediately translated for Kangqiao.

Kangqiao looked at the ring of water circling the Water Lizard, then at the Trilobite wreaking havoc within the ice, and helplessly sent out a message anyway.

"Kaiya, tell them not to run around. Don't let them get separated from the group."

"Yes, Father God."

Kaiya controlled its body as the power of its soul radiated outward, reaching the Giant Beasts around it and swiftly conveying Father God's divine decree to all four.

Hearing Kangqiao call for it, the Water Lizard, which had been playing in the distance by melting ice into water, froze for a moment before grumbling, "Troublesome," and swinging its massive tail as it moved toward Kangqiao.

Meanwhile, the Trilobite, which had been wreaking havoc inside the ice, burst through the solid layer like a submarine, causing a tremendous explosion in the distance as it poked its head out.

"Are we roasting meat? But there's no food. Do you need me to catch some?"

The Trilobite's squinting eyes shone with delight. Its gluttonous nature was clearly the strongest of all.

In response, Kaiya, who had always believed firmly in the greatness of gods, could only remain silent.

Fortunately, while the other gods were unreliable, its own Father God was clearly filled with supreme wisdom and power. Otherwise, Kaiya might truly have broken down.

After all, the intelligence of these other gods, who acted like children playing house, had utterly shattered its worldview.

That its own Father God could command the other gods was not merely a matter of overwhelming power, but also overwhelming intelligence.

Look, this is our great Father God. How wise and benevolent He is. Great as He is, He can even see through every follower's heart and true thoughts.

Kaiya's heart brimmed with emotion and gratitude, but as an eyeball made of flame, it could not make any expression at all.

After calming itself, Kaiya's enormous eye addressed Kangqiao with reverence and resolve. "Thank you for Father God's guidance. I understand what I should do now."

"Mm."

Sensing the excitement and fervor Kaiya hid deep within its heart, Kangqiao truly felt somewhat emotional.

Faith... it really is something that weighs heavily on people. Still, I've treated it generously enough. I haven't exactly wronged it, have I?

As Kangqiao thought of this, he then considered what Kaiya intended to do and found it strangely amusing.

If Kaiya really pulls this off, won't it become the teacher of these four Giant Beast gods? Hahaha, it does sound pretty interesting. My follower is the teacher of other gods? Then what does that make me? A god above gods?

For a moment, Kangqiao nearly burst into laughter.

Yet when that laughter came from Godzilla's mouth, it became a low growl.

Hearing the growl, the four beasts around him were somewhat baffled. Then they all looked at Kaiya, their meaning obvious enough.

Hurry up and translate. Was Lava saying something again?

Yet under the gazes of the four beasts, Kaiya remained silent and said nothing.

The four beasts looked at one another. But at that moment, accompanied by a sudden blizzard, a colossal figure abruptly closed in from the distant ice field.

In that instant, Kangqiao and the four beasts were alerted, and all of them turned their eyes toward the distance.
