Background / History

Le Bai joined Shrek Academy at a young age and became Oscar's close companion. He stressed the importance of literacy to Oscar, arguing that a Soul Master who could not read would be unable to study a secret manual even if one were placed before him. 2

Despite possessing only second-level Innate Soul Power and a common-quality Food System Martial Soul, Le Bai trained obsessively. His Panel's record-and-guide function enabled rapid skill development through repeated practice. He cultivated Soul Power, forged at Old Master Huang's shop, and developed a method for producing high-grade Soul Iron, which funded his living expenses. 7

By the time his Soul Power approached level 10, Le Bai had built his own cultivation ground and trained under extreme physical loads. Upon reaching level 10, he automatically condensed a Decade Soul Ring rather than acquiring one through a conventional hunt. He concealed the nature of this ability from Flender and Zhao Wuji. 11 12
