Background / History

Dai Mubai entered Shrek Academy after fleeing the pressure and lethal succession struggle surrounding his family. At first, he spoke of his past through the story of a “coward” who ran away, but Le Bai recognized that his elder brother’s efforts to suppress him suggested that Dai was considered a genuine threat 19 20.

Upon arriving at Shrek, Dai challenged Le Bai after dismissing his low-level Food System Martial Soul. Le Bai defeated him despite being twelve levels lower in Soul Power, shattering Dai’s White Tiger Intense Light Wave with a concentrated punch. Dai accepted Le Bai’s request to become the group’s “Boss,” though he believed he had not earned the position through the spar 17 18 19.

Le Bai’s instruction transformed Dai’s approach to cultivation. He trained relentlessly for a year, often replacing sleep with cultivation; while his Soul Power growth was not initially dramatic, he judged his practical combat ability to have roughly doubled. He also began learning to manipulate the form, concentration, and output of his Soul Skills rather than merely activating them 20 21 22.

Dai reunited with his fiancée, Zhu Zhuqing, at Shrek. Determined to show that he had not abandoned their future, he continued cultivating and fighting beside her, eventually turning their compatible Martial Souls into a major team asset through Martial Soul Fusion 29 31 67 102.

After Shrek’s graduation, Dai and Zhuqing returned to the Star Luo Empire. He discovered that becoming stronger than his elder brother was not enough to secure succession: he also had to learn administration, noble relations, and long-term governance.
