Background / History

Xiao Wu was originally a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast whose potential had reached its limit at that level. She transformed into a human in order to pursue greater growth and avenge her mother’s death. Her mother’s death also shaped her hostility toward humans, particularly Martial Soul Hall 253 111.

Her soul beast foundation remained after her transformation. While it could not be directly converted into soul power, it greatly accelerated her cultivation; she states that, with focused training, even someone with Innate Full Soul Power could not cultivate faster than her 146 284.

Le Bai knew her true identity early on and later warned her that Tang San’s father was aware of it as well. Xiao Wu secretly met Er Ming in the Star Dou Forest with Tang San’s assistance, then condensed her Third Soul Ring under Er Ming’s protection 52 67.

After a year apart from the others, Xiao Wu returned to the Star Dou Forest and stayed with Da Ming and Er Ming. There, she consumed the Lovesick Heartbreak Red to grow stronger, both to reunite with Tang San and to support Le Bai’s plan to revive her mother 250 251.

Five years later, she openly revealed her soul beast identity to the Shrek Seven Devils. Her friends accepted her, while Tang San supported her throughout the disclosure 284.
