Background / History

The Sacred Heaven Sect is a million-year-old sect founded by the Chu and Ye families, whose lineages traditionally rotated the position of Sect Master and maintained a delicate balance of power. That balance became increasingly unstable as both families produced major figures and competed for control of the sect. 1 4 5 101 160

After three cycles of rise and decline, the sect accumulated enough hidden foundations, artifacts, allies, and ancient experts to become known throughout the myriad realms. 100

Saint Ancestor Duanmu restored the sect during one of its weakest eras and became its only female Sect Master. Her legacy, including the Sacred Heaven Pool and its flood dragon reserve, remained a key part of the sect's foundations for hundreds of thousands of years. 11 49

Thirty thousand years before the main story, the sect issued a Heavenly Killer Order against an Emperor Venerable who had murdered and desecrated a core-sequence disciple. It mobilized three Emperor Venerables, more than fifteen half-step Emperor Venerables, forbidden artifacts, formations, and allied forces to kill the target in the Myriad Realms Ruins; the target's sixty-million-member clan was subsequently annihilated. This campaign elevated the sect into a supreme power comparable to the Cihang Sacred Sect. 100

In the current era, Ye Tianxiong and Chu Tianwang rose together and brought the sect to the peak of its influence, surpassing the Cihang Sacred Sect to become the Hengtian Continent's strongest sect. 100 339

Territory and Influence

  • The sect rules tens of millions of miles of territory and nearly ten billion people. 70 339
  • It is regarded as the strongest sect on the Hengtian Continent by both its own leadership and the Cihang Sacred Sect. 154 237
  • Its position depends not merely on individual peak experts, but on a million years of accumulated foundations, dormant powerhouses, forbidden assets, and allied relationships. 100
  • At its height, the sect held three Emperor Venerables on the Heaven Ranking; outside powers feared the prospect of a fourth. 99
  • The sect's prestige and military strength make it a central force in the Hengtian Human Race's resistance against the Dragon Clan and the Eternal Human Realm. 183 407
  • Following the Hengtian Human Race's success in the Nine Realms Grand Competition, the Hengtian Ancestral Court prioritized the sect's share of the Myriad Realms Formation Disk resources in recognition of Chu Tian and the sect's contributions. 399
  • As the Human Emperor's successor, Chu Tian secured five hundred of the five thousand available Human Emperor World Origin baptisms for outstanding Sacred Heaven Sect disciples and higher-ups. 457

Organization

Sect Master and Elder Council

The Sect Master is traditionally the sect's undisputed leader, with succession normally passing only after the previous Sect Master's death. Before Ye Tianxiong, no Sect Master had ever been deposed. 102 130

Ye Tianxiong's removal created the first exception to this custom. Chu Tianxing subsequently served as acting Sect Master, but later transferred the position of acting Sect Master to Chu Tianyun while he assisted the Human Kings in stabilizing the Human Race. 145 399 457

The Elder Council holds the authority to investigate senior officials, remove hall masters, appoint replacements, and make collective decisions during sect crises. 42 71 91

Founding Families

  • Chu Family — One of the two founding families. Its influence rises sharply after Chu Tian's achievements and Ye Tianxiong's downfall; it supplies the sect's Holy Son, senior leadership, and much of its central military strength. 1 5 70 83 102
  • Ye Family — One of the two founding families and the historic controller of the Internal Affairs Hall. Its authority is severely weakened after Ye Tianhong's dismissal, Ye Tianxiong's deposition, and the family's self-imposed sanctions. Chu Tian later declares that the Ye Family can no longer remain as a founding political force, though members without the Ye surname are permitted to return to the Hengtian Realm. 71 146 157 406
  • Duanmu Family — One of the sect's foremost major families, descended from Saint Ancestor Duanmu. Its members play major roles in the Elder Council and sect administration. 53 71 149
  • Gu Family — One of the sect's foremost major families; Gu Wudao oversees the War Affairs Hall. The family traces its prestige to Gu Mozu, one of the sect's Revival Ancestors. 229 406
  • Su Family — One of the sect's foremost major families; Su Busheng awakens Su Shenzu during the war against the Dragon Clan and Eternal Human Realm. 406

Major Halls and Forces

  • Internal Affairs Hall — Historically controlled by the Ye Family for a million years. Ye Tianhong is removed as Hall Master following the investigation into sect corruption and misconduct; Duanmu Lei later serves as Hall Master. 71 209
  • Law Enforcement Hall — Overseen by Chu Tianyun during the early internal conflict. 13
  • War Affairs Hall — The sect's major war force, formerly a principal pillar of Ye Tianxiong's authority. It fields two hundred thousand elite core disciples, while fifty thousand elite powerhouses participate in the destruction of the Dragon God Sect. 84 177 229
  • Sacrifice Heaven Guards — Black-armored, halberd-bearing guards stationed at Sacrifice Heaven Peak during ceremonies. 71
  • Sun Group and Moon Group — Elite Chu Family death-warrior units led by Sun Slave and Moon Slave; each member must possess at least Divine Realm cultivation. 102
  • Heaven Group — A force tasked with guarding the Hall of Yama; it is later eliminated to protect the Hall's secrets. 168
  • Earth Group — A group including ten God King death warriors assigned to protect Chu Tian during his journey to Ink Cloud County. 108 225

  • Sacrifice Heaven Peak — Ceremonial peak with an altar used for conferments, rituals, and public recognition. 71

  • Rising Sun Secret Realm — A top-tier secret realm built around Chu Tian's residence with the Great Dao Bead as its core. It is used to cultivate sect prodigies and allied Hengtian Realm talents. 85 87 93 212
  • Sacred Heaven Sect headquarters — The sect's central base, protected by a million-year legacy and capable of awakening ancient defensive power. 138

Assets and Formations

  • Heavenly Killer Order — The sect's highest kill order. Once issued, its target must die; surrender or withdrawal is not accepted. 100
  • Sacred Heaven Formation — A large formation led by Chu Tianyun and Su Muwen that breaks the Dragon God Sect's defensive formation. 176
  • Heavenly Saint Array Pattern — The sect's ultimate array pattern; nearly a thousand pursuit-team experts can deploy it to threaten half-step Emperor Venerables and contend with Emperor Venerables. 122
  • Duanmu Family sacred formation — A formation left by Saint Ancestor Duanmu, revived during the assault on Ye Tianxiong. 149
  • Sacred Heaven Pool flood dragon reserve — Pure-blooded flood dragons raised by Saint Ancestor Duanmu for hundreds of thousands of years. The reserve includes ancient flood dragons potentially at the Emperor Venerable level and is intended for use only when the sect faces destruction. 49
  • Holy Son Armor — Battle armor issued to the sect's Holy Son during life-or-death crises. Sect tradition requires the Sect Master and Holy Son to lead from the front in such wars. 399
  • Forbidden foundations — Ancient experts, forbidden weapons, Emperor Artifacts, Supreme Treasures, and formation disks accumulated over the sect's history. Its greatest living hidden reserves are the Sacred Heaven Three Ancestors: Saint Ancestor Duanmu, Gu Mozu, and Su Shenzu. 100 190 406
  • Great Dao Bead secret realm project — The Chu Family uses the Great Dao Bead, Secret Realm Seed, World Sand, Star Origin, Five Elements Divine Source, and other artifacts to build a top-tier secret realm centered on Chu Tian's residence. 85 87

Story Role / Major Arcs

Conflict with the Cihang Sacred Sect

The sect faces humiliation when no Ye Family disciple can defeat Hui Mei in the arena. Sect Master Ye Tianxiong resorts to secret techniques to enhance disciples, while Chu Tian is asked to intervene. 24

The conflict worsens when Ye Tianxiong attempts to remove Chu Tian's Eye of the Heavenly Dao to appease the Cihang Sacred Sect. Chu Tian publicly rejects the sect's delayed rewards and demands a joint investigation by the Law Enforcement, Internal Affairs, and Judicial Halls. 35 42

Rise of the Chu Family

Chu Tian claims first place on the Earth Ranking, while Chu Yunshang reaches third place. Their rankings help shift the Elder Council's position, leading to Ye Tianhong's dismissal and Ye Tianxiong's public self-criticism. 70 71

Chu Tian later becomes leader of a special investigation unit examining Ye Feng's demonic cultivation, an unprecedented appointment that signals his growing authority within the sect. 91

The Chu Family subsequently builds the Rising Sun Secret Realm around Chu Tian's Great Dao Bead. Chu Tian opens it to ranking disciples, family prodigies, and later selected geniuses from allied Hengtian Realm factions in preparation for the Nine Realms Grand Competition. 85 93 212

The Heavenly Killer Order

After the Desperate Poison Venerable attempts to assassinate Chu Tian and poisons Chu Yueyao, Chu Tianxing issues the Heavenly Killer Order in the sect's name and threatens Hell Valley with annihilation if the target escapes. 99 100

The Elder Council rejects Ye Tianxiong's attempt to interfere with the order, expels Ye Hongchen from Elder Peak, and authorizes the pursuit. 102

Deposition of Ye Tianxiong

Ye Tianxiong's attempts to undermine the Chu Family, his suppression of sect interests, and his soul-search of Chu Fengcheng trigger a united backlash from the Chu, Duanmu, Ye, and other sect factions. 149 150

His deposition becomes an unprecedented event in Sacred Heaven Sect history and causes repercussions among major sects across the Hengtian Continent. 146

Ye Hongchen later offers concessions on behalf of the Ye Family: sealing its peak for three years and surrendering its responsibilities to other families for one hundred years. The sect accepts the proposal. 157

Ye Tianxiong later survives his apparent death through reincarnation and continues plotting with the Eternal Human Realm against Chu Tian and the Chu Family. During the later war against the royal families, however, he chooses to sacrifice himself and leave his arrangements to the Sacred Heaven Sect, insisting that he was a defeated contender rather than a traitor. 236 403 406

War against the Dragon God Sect

Following the Dragon God Sect's collusion with Ye Tianxiong and the Dragon Clan, the Sacred Heaven Sect attacks it under Chu Tianyun's command. 174 182

The Sacred Heaven Formation breaches the Dragon God Sect's defenses, after which the War Affairs Hall massacres its forces. Chu Tianyun kills an ancient Emperor Venerable with the Star Tiger Saber. 176 177

Sky-Splitting Dragon Kui later kills hundreds of thousands of Sacred Heaven Sect disciples and captures others. Old Tuo sacrifices his life to kill Kui and destroy the captives' captor, turning to ash after unleashing his final strike. 178

The sect and its Hengtian Human Race allies reject demands to spare the Dragon God Sect, judging its collaboration with the Dragon Clan to be a betrayal of humanity. Its campaign expands into a purge of the Dragon God Sect's territory and becomes a major source of conflict with Hell Valley, the Eternal Human Realm, and dissenting Hengtian factions. 179 181 183

Defense of the Hengtian Human Race

When the Dragon Clan and Eternal Human Realm threaten the Hengtian Realm, the sect's disciples and major families arm themselves for war. Su Busheng declares that the sect will uphold the responsibilities of the Hengtian Continent's strongest sect. 407

The Sacred Heaven Three Ancestors—Saint Ancestor Duanmu, Gu Mozu, and Su Shenzu—fight against the Dragon Clan and Eternal Human Realm. They prepare to enter the Dragon Realm to buy time for the Hengtian Human Race. 406 407

The sect suffers severe losses during the conflict, including three Chu Family Emperor Venerables and numerous senior experts and disciples. At the subsequent memorial ceremony, the Eternal Human King and Ancient Dragon Court representatives perform three kneelings and nine kowtows before the sect's fallen martyrs. 209 212

Human Emperor Era

After the Hengtian Human Race's victory in the Nine Realms Grand Competition, the Sacred Heaven Sect receives a prioritized allocation from the Myriad Realms Formation Disk. These resources include divine mines, origin stone mines, divine medicine gardens, and secret realms selected by the sect's leadership for its future development. 399

When Chu Tian becomes the Human Emperor's successor and takes control of the Nine Great Human King Seals, he rewards the sect's contributions with five hundred Human Emperor World Origin baptism slots for outstanding disciples, as well as later access for meritorious God King-level and higher officials. Chu Tianxing then appoints Chu Tianyun as acting Sect Master. 457

In the Spirit God Realm, the lingering wills of Sacred Heaven Sect disciples who died defending the Myriad Realms Formation Disk manifest alongside other Human Race martyrs. Their final resistance becomes part of the Human Race's historical legacy that Chu Tian seeks to honor. 617
