The Hengkong Human King is the reigning Human King of the Hengtian Human Race and the public head of the Hengtian Realm. The Hengtian Ancestral Court, founded by Hengtian Emperor Venerable, ordinarily avoids internal struggles but can command the realm’s forces during foreign wars; Hengkong presides over this authority. 144

His Heng Family’s legitimacy rests on generations of sacrifice rather than bloodline alone. He maintains that the family won its position through bloody campaigns defending the Human Race, and he openly rejects Feng Changhao’s claim to superior standing through noble lineage. 194 198

When the Dragon God Sect and the Dragon Clan threatened Sacred Heaven Sect, Hengkong personally intervened, subdued the Overlord Dragon Venerable, and warned the Dragon Clan that interference in Hengtian affairs would carry a bloody cost. 144 He later defended Chu Tian as a Hengtian genius, declaring that no foreign power—including Human Kings, Great Emperors, or sovereigns of other races—would be permitted to harm him. 185

Hengkong’s faith in the Human Emperor’s legacy initially led him to pressure Chu Tian into supporting the Profound Emperor, bearer of the Human Emperor Bloodline. However, after witnessing the other Human Kings’ conduct toward Chu Tian, he acknowledged that Chu Tian had been right to distrust them. 349 396

The revelation that Hengtian War King—the Heng Family’s revered progenitor—had betrayed the Human Race devastated Hengkong. Despite this, he refused to abandon Chu Tian when Hengtian War King demanded the Crown Prince’s submission, pledging that the Heng Family would die before allowing Chu Tian to be killed. 413 418

He prizes merit earned in battle over inherited status. His contempt for Feng Changhao stems from the latter’s reliance on foreign powers and perceived failure to contribute to the Human Race. 198

His commitment can make him impulsive.
