• Tang Hao escaped Snake Lance Douluo and Porcupinefish Douluo by detonating Soul Rings, but Jiang Chen followed him to a poisonous valley where Dugu Bo weakened him and Jiang Chen killed him.
• Jiang Chen took Tang Hao’s soul bones and Clear Sky Sect token, reclaimed a portion of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ power through Ah Yin, and broke through to level fifty.
• Jiang Chen hunted dragon-blooded beasts to evolve his Nine Heavens Dragon Wings, then killed the Seven-Colored Lotus and absorbed its sixty-thousand-year Soul Ring, reaching level fifty-three.
• Jiang Chen returned to the team, gave Tang San two soul bones, tempered Zhu Zhuqing, and told Liu Erlong he would consider helping Yu Xiaogang if Yu Xiaogang asked him in person.

• Jiang Chen stopped seven Shadow Academy men from raiding the village, followed their clues to an underground hideout, and defeated the Soul King guards and the Shadow Demon Wolf leader.

Jiang Chen competed with Shrek Academy, while Yu Xiaogang joined the Sacred Mark Cult and Tang San’s family investigated Tang Hao’s disappearance. When Clear Sky Sect elders confronted Jiang Chen and Qian Renxue, he killed the Third Elder with her help, and Dugu Bo drove off the Second Elder as Jiang Chen carried the wounded Qian Renxue away.

• Jiang Chen tested his new soul bone powers in Sunset Forest as Tang Xiao ordered an investigation into Tang Hao’s disappearance and protection for Tang San.
• Yu Xiaogang joined the Sacred Mark Cult, endured its blood-pool ritual, and emerged with his power raised to the level-forty threshold.
• Shrek Academy defeated Skywater Academy, the Elephant Armored Sect, and Blazing Fire Academy, while Jiang Chen sat out the team matches and won his individual bout without releasing his Martial Soul.
• Qian Renxue challenged Jiang Chen to a fight outside Heaven Dou City, and their battle escalated until three Clear Sky Sect members arrived and accused Jiang Chen of carrying Tang Hao’s aura.
• Jiang Chen and Qian Renxue fought the Clear Sky Sect elders, but the elders sealed the area and badly injured them with their ninth Soul Skills.

Jiang Chen trained with Heavenly Thunder while Shrek Academy won the tournament, then protected Tang San from Spirit Hall and escaped Spirit City with Qian Renxue. With the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud in hand, the group set out for Sea God Island, where Jiang Chen began a punishing training session aboard their ship.

• Jiang Chen revealed to Qian Renxue that the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud contained a Sea God inheritance, while Qian Renxue secretly arranged for a replica to be made.
• Yu Xiaogang disappeared and was subjected to a Sacred Dragon Blood Essence ritual, while Jiang Chen unlocked Sky Thunder Power and began using it to temper his body and absorb the Fire Dragon King soul bone.
• Tang San led Shrek Academy in the finals without Jiang Chen, and Ye Lingling evolved her Nine Star Begonia into a Ten-Star Begonia as Shrek defeated Spirit Hall and won the tournament.
• Yue Guan exposed Tang San as a member of the Clear Sky Sect, but Jiang Chen intervened and fought him until Bibi Dong halted the duel and threatened Jiang Chen for refusing to join Spirit Hall.

Jiang Chen led the group to Sea God Island, where their assessments revealed extraordinary potential and Tang San gained the Life Goddess’s inheritance while Ning Rongrong became the Sea God’s chosen inheritor. After six months of trials, Jiang Chen and Ning Rongrong faced Sea Witch Douluo and a Demon Soul Great White Shark in their Fourth Trial.

• Jiang Chen tempered the group’s meridians with Karma Fire and Heavenly Thunder, then led them to Vast Sea City to find passage to Sea God Island.
• Jiang Chen bought the Dragon Abyss Boat, and he and Tang San subdued Haider’s pirate crew before Zi Zhenzhu’s fleet forced them to negotiate a safe passage.
• Jiang Chen drove the group’s damaged boat onto Sea God Island, where Seahorse Douluo began their assessments and several companions received Red-Rank Seven Trials.
• Tang San triggered the Sea God’s Nine Trials, but the Life Goddess’s power displaced the Sea God’s assessment and gave him her inheritance mark.
