Hope President Bei Could Restrain Himself
"Go ahead and hire people; the pay is plentiful."
Bei Mu flashed a smile that clearly needed a streetlamp, "After all, money can buy everything."
[Ding! Bei Mu's Character Perfection increased by 5%!]
"Clap clap clap! Amazing, amazing, President Bei is truly remarkable."
A handsome man, about 1.9 meters tall and wearing a suit, walked over while clapping his hands.
Dong Heng's expression turned serious. "Supervisor, as you know, I would never do anything that violates Humanity Code, and I will always recruit employees on a completely voluntary basis."
If you want to hang streetlights, just hang one at the North General Hospital; he's innocent.
Song Shi was certainly aware of this.
Bei Mu holds a special position and wields considerable power within the Anomaly Containment Association. Dong Heng, merely an ordinary department manager, could hardly possibly disobey Bei Mu's orders.
Although Ling Hanyu could sometimes manage Bei Mu, she mostly obeyed Bei Mu.
Ling Hanyu was someone Bei Mu saved from a world that was invaded by a strange entity and was on the verge of destruction. She naturally leans towards Bei Mu. Without Bei Mu's help back then, there would be no Vice President Ling as we know her today, which is understandable.
Bei Mu raised an eyebrow, somewhat displeased with Song Shi's appearance. "Why did you get here so quickly?"
Song Shi shrugged. "Sigh, I dare not linger too long. Look, I've only been gone for a short while, and the North General dares to say such things so shamelessly. Is he about to embark on a path of violating Humanity Code?"
Song Shi leaned closer, his face extremely close to Bei Mu's, and with a dangerous smile despite Bei Mu's disgusted expression, said, "I hope President Bei can restrain himself. Money can be earned, but it cannot be used to do whatever it wants."
"What you did in the Abandoned City last time, if it weren't for Headquarters recognizing your many contributions to the organization, you wouldn't have only been locked up for two months before being released."
"The Northern Command should take this as a warning."
Bei Zong shoved him away, revealing a forced smile, "Heh, I don't think I did anything wrong. Those people, living in Abandoned City, surviving in savagery, ruins, and garbage, will one day become Hyena or monsters' food."
"Perhaps he will die in some corner, his entire body rotting into White Bone without anyone noticing."
"I fed them delicious food they had never tasted before and put them in luxurious private rooms they could only dream of. They were fighting over it, willingly becoming my slaves."
Hearing Bei Mu's words, the employees below gained a direct understanding of what kind of person this new head of the Sales Department was.
Bei Mu's frivolous facade was torn away, revealing his cold-blooded nature.
The crowd was immediately frightened and dared not speak loudly. Those who had been whispering and fidgeting suddenly stood up straight.
"That's terrifying. Could it be the kind of person who would pull out a whip and whip employees who aren't working hard enough?"
"It's okay, as long as he pays enough, I can lick his shoes every day."
"Tsk, have you really lost all sense of shame and dignity?"
"Dignity? What's dignity worth? If licking your boss's shoes every day could earn you hundreds of thousands a month, believe me, plenty of people would be lining up for that job."
"I know you guys are making a joke, but why can't I suddenly laugh?"
"Come on, our company's benefits are already pretty good by Chinese standards. Look around in China, how many companies offer the same working hours and salary for this kind of job?"
The employees were chattering amongst themselves.
The atmosphere between Bei Mu and Song Shi was not exactly friendly.
It was the arrival of Ji Wu, another Supervisor, that broke the deadlock between them.
"Song Shi, it's been a long time."
Ji Wu and Song Shi had a good relationship, or rather, the relationship between their Supervisor was quite good.
Although they rarely get together, they do occasionally gather to complain and vent about how difficult the Contract Anomalist they are Supervisor.
Song Shi's expression visibly relaxed considerably. "Hey, Ji Wu, it's been quite a while. How have you been here?"
"It's not bad. I was a bit busy at the beginning, but that little rascal has been behaving himself lately and hasn't caused me any trouble."
Song Shi pointed to Bei Mu, who was leaning back in his chair looking like he had no bones, "This one on my end is a real headache. He keeps causing trouble whenever I'm away for a little while."
"The North General Manager?" Ji Wu considered this man's style and, being quite perceptive, refrained from offering any comment.
Well, it's hard to say.
Those Contract Anomalist of Supervisor, no matter how normal they may seem, have proven through their past actions, the sealed files, and the words circulating within the organization that they deserve what they have.
Ji Wu and Song Shi exchanged a few words, and seeing that Song Shi was still busy with work, they agreed to talk again next time. Then Ji Wu greeted Bei Mu again.
"Northern General Headquarters."
Bei Mu raised his chin, which was a response to him. Because he was being Supervisor, and was assigned to Song Shi, who was overly serious and Supervisor, he didn't have a very good impression of the people in the Supervisor department.
Ji Wu was used to the eccentric personalities of these Contract Anomalist, and after saying hello, he returned to his office.
The meeting has now ended, and the other employees have returned to their seats to continue working.
Zhao Hun and the others followed Ji Wu Ji Wu into his office.
They were quite familiar with Ji Wu and knew he wouldn't hold grudges, so they were less reserved and sat on the sofas after coming in. They were all quite curious about this new person in charge.
Zhao Hun: "Brother Zhang."
Zhao Hun winked at Zhang Lin, signaling him to ask Ji Wu about Bei Mu.
Although Zhang Lin's time at Yi Gui Company was short, he had already adapted to life there because of his good skills and proficiency with firearms.
Several newcomers liked to consult him, so they got along quite well. Even Jiang Tianzong had the worst temper, treated him more kindly than the others.
Zhang Lin noticed that although the others didn't say anything, their eyes clearly showed curiosity.
Zhang Lin glanced at Ji Wu, and seeing that the other man wasn't busy, he quickly asked, "Supervisor Ji, do you know the person in charge of the North Headquarters? What kind of person is he?"
Ji Wu didn't hide anything. "Bei Mu? He's the god of wealth for our Anomaly Containment Association. He once single-handedly earned nearly 80% of the organization's wealth."
The others looked surprised.
"Eighty percent? That's an outrageous figure!"
Jiang Tianzong even more shocked than them, because compared to these newcomers who had only joined a few days ago, he could better appreciate just how powerful the Anomaly Containment Association Society was.
That's definitely a financial tycoon.
