Lies Had Already Soaked into His Soul
Gray Scale woke up.
Hiss!
He touched the back of his head, which was throbbing with pain, feeling as if he had been hit hard by something heavy not long ago.
Where is this place?
Gray Scale cautiously surveyed its surroundings. Whoever dared to attack a member of the Eternal Kingdom, whoever it was, was doomed!
Gray Scale felt a chill run down his spine and prepared to activate the divine power within him.
But he was startled by a face that suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Hello?"
Gray Scale leaned back, "Who are you? How did I get here?"
Deception: "It's a long story, but I'll make it short."
"It is so, sir. I am a messenger sent by a great god. In order to complete His test, I need you to answer some questions."
"A divine messenger?" Gray Scale looked at the Deception with suspicion.
Yes, that's right.
Rationally, he didn't believe in this divine messenger who had appeared out of nowhere.
But emotionally, he didn't want to believe it either.
How can you prove you are a messenger of God?
"Very good question." Deception snapped his fingers. "Then, look here."
What?
Gray Scale looked over in confusion, only to be met with a tall statue.
The statue was very familiar; he saw it every day during his worship, and it emanated that familiar, unique divine aura. Could this person truly be a divine messenger?
The divine power within my body is surging, more active than ever before.
Normally, this power remains dormant, only reacting when he prays or comes into contact with the altar statue.
This is the first time we've seen such high activity.
He immediately knelt before the statue, pleading, "Great God, please forgive my ignorance and foolishness for failing to recognize the messenger you sent! Please forgive your pitiful and foolish believer!"
Gray Scale believed it.
Consequently, his attitude towards this divine messenger became much more respectful.
"My lord, I am truly sorry for offending you just now."
The Deception chuckled and said, "It's alright, being cautious is a good thing, after all, that day is coming soon."
"Yes." Gray Scale wiped away his sweat, feeling fortunate for the divine messenger's kindness.
The two mysteriously vanished figures, Evil Mouth and Love Resentment, witnessed the awakened man exchange a few words with Deception for no apparent reason, and then firmly believe that Deception is a divine messenger.
"That's terrifying." Evil Mouth rubbed his hair. "What did he see that caused his attitude to completely change?"
Following the Gray Scale line of sight from before, Evil Mouth saw that the safe house here, in order to meet the requirements of concealment, sturdiness, and safety, was actually not very large in area; it was the kind of place where you could see the whole thing at a glance.
All he could see were the whitewashed walls.
However, the members of that Eternal Kingdom, upon seeing the wall, reacted with excitement and devotion, as if they were seeing a deity they worshipped.
Seeing that Gray Scale hadn't noticed them at all, and that Gray Scale, through Deception words, quickly revealed all the information he knew, Evil Mouth watched as Gray, completely oblivious to their presence, readily revealed everything he knew.
This experience has once again made me realize how terrible Deception can be.
This person never tells the truth, and he possesses the ability to influence people without their knowledge or awareness. We must be extremely vigilant and wary of him.
Love Resentment, however, had a new insight. "Do you think that sending him to infiltrate the Anomaly Containment Association would fool those Contract Anomalist?"
He had a look of utter disbelief on his Evil Mouth.
However, although this suggestion is outrageous, upon closer examination, it does have a slight possibility of being implemented.
Finally, Evil Mouth realized something. "That won't work, will it? Although he might be able to fool the other Contract Anomalist, there's still an unstable factor about him. He can't form contracts with other supernatural entities, so he'll definitely be exposed."
"Unless, we replace an existing Contract Anomalist, then as long as we don't encounter the Chairman of the Anomaly Containment Association, we might actually be able to infiltrate the enemy's ranks."
Evil Mouth began to seriously consider the feasibility of this.
Love Resentment: "Who knows?"
After all, the nature of Deception is uncontrollable. One might agree to the plan on a whim, or one might overturn the game in a moment of madness, causing chaos and defeat for everyone involved.
This is quite normal; after all, for them, who are masters of demons, suppressing the strange forces reviving within their bodies every day is difficult enough.
Every day I live in misery, and when I close my eyes, I don't know if I'll ever open them again.
Most Ghost Riders get very little sleep.
No one dares to enter a deep sleep, because when a person is asleep, their mind is at its weakest, making them very vulnerable to being attacked by strange entities.
Gray Scale was completely fooled. He firmly believed that this person was a divine messenger, so he answered every single question the Deception asked.
that's all.
Deception quickly obtained a great deal of internal information about the Eternal Kingdom.
This includes the recent major moves by the Eternal Kingdom.
Summoning the gods?
Evil Mouth and the others raised an eyebrow, inwardly scoffing. Gods? Given the behavior of the Eternal Kingdom, the most they could possibly worship was some kind of Evil Deity.
Don't think they don't know that their leader has seen the supreme god, an existence that would never deign to look down on such an organization.
After obtaining the intelligence, they confirmed it.
There's a high probability that an Evil Deity is behind this troublemaking organization.
Evil Mouth Love Resentment at Qingyuan, "An Evil Deity, if used properly, might come in very handy."
"Whether they are Evil Deity or righteous gods, they can at least be called gods. If the Anomaly Containment Association don't react in time, this might cause them some losses."
If the Anomaly Containment Association doesn't have accurate intelligence and assumes that what came this time was just a powerful anomaly, and that the summoned Contract Anomalist were just a few of those active in the open, then...
I'm afraid this time we'll really suffer a big setback.
Of course, it's impossible to cause any major damage to the Anomaly Containment Association through this incident. However, after this setback, the Anomaly Containment Association's reputation on Blue Star will also decline considerably.
When the time comes, it will be them...
After Deception asked all the questions he wanted to know, he snapped his fingers and then Gray Scale fainted again.
"Their organization recently recruited a person with special abilities; that the One currently very popular within the organization."
"Fortune teller."
The Evil Mouth and Love Resentment were heard nearby, of course.
"Could he be some kind of charlatan or fraud?" the Evil Mouth implied.
The Deception knew perfectly well that his Evil Mouth were a veiled attack, but he paid no heed. Deception had seeped into his very bones, and lies had permeated his very soul.
His very existence is a fallacy, an absurdity, a hoax.
"In the Anomaly Containment Association, there is a judge of fate who can see the destiny of the past, present, and future; nothing can escape his eyes."
