At the Uchiha Clan Grounds in Konoha, a shadow suddenly flashed into the basement of Kaede's home. It removed its thick cloak, shook off the snow, and sat down on the spotless floor.
"To think that using Rune energy to control the Flying Thunder God is this convenient?" When she had just planned to return to Konoha, she had expected to use the Flying Thunder God several times before she could get back.
But she had instinctively reached out to the Flying Thunder God Kunai buried in the basement. Before, there was no way she could have sensed the spatial coordinates of a kunai so far away.
This time, though, the coordinates appeared clearly in her mind. With a slight shift of her consciousness, she activated the Flying Thunder God. Supplied with ample Rune energy, she felt as though she were traveling through a long corridor of light, before appearing at home.
"Other than taking a little longer, it seems no different from using the Flying Thunder God over a short distance. Is it because of the Rune energy? Or because my soul has grown stronger again?"
Thinking this over, she left the basement. She needed to discuss the Land of Snow with the clan's leaders. Before long, Konoha's front lines would be under pressure, giving her a chance to have the Uchiha sent to the battlefield. Then she could have some clan members fake their deaths and relocate to the Land of Snow.
In the future, the Land of Snow would be the Uchiha Clan's promised land.
