Background

Chen Tian was originally an ordinary mortal who was struck by a “Dayun” and transmigrated to another world. With only a demonic cultivation manual he happened to obtain, he cultivated from nothing to the Question Dao Realm in five years and later became a Demon Venerable. His former strength was comparable to a peak Heavenly Connection Realm cultivator of the Mystic Heaven Continent. 200

Having grown weary of the cultivation world’s scheming and cruelty, Chen Tian returned to his homeland of Blue Star despite losing most of his cultivation. There, he reunited with his parents and met Mo Shang and Jiang Shuyu at a snack stall. 48 52

Shen Qingyao pursued him to Blue Star after an earlier incident between them, though the two initially described each other as enemies. Chen Tian nevertheless took her into his home after she arrived weakened and without most of her cultivation. 49 50 51

Mo Shang offered Chen Tian a way to travel freely between Blue Star and the cultivation world. Chen Tian and Shen Qingyao subsequently entered Falling Cloud Sect, where Chen Tian selected Sword Peak and resumed cultivation. 52 54 55

After Shen Qingyao disappeared upon learning that she was a reincarnated soul fragment, Chen Tian resolved to grow stronger enough to find her. He later left Falling Cloud Sect to travel through the Immortal Spirit Continent in pursuit of that goal. 93 119

Personality

Chen Tian is direct, decisive, and unusually candid about his demonic path. He has little patience for formal pre-battle speeches, once interrupting Zhang Tianming’s confrontation with Lin Mochen by attacking first. He openly dismisses “martial virtue” when a numerical advantage is available. 90 91

He is an extreme battle enthusiast who becomes more excited when facing powerful opponents or suffering setbacks. His battle-mindedness is strong enough that Mo Shang and Gu Qingzhou regard fighting as one of his few real hobbies. 90 212

Despite his ruthless reputation and history, Chen Tian shows clear compassion toward innocents.
