Little Hawkins
Hope left the library, randomly picked a direction, and prepared to leave.
But before he could find a suitable place to use "Uncertainty," Dr. Morgan and Professor Armitage caught up with him.
"Are you going through the West Gate?" Dr. Morgan asked.
Where is the West Gate...?
Hope looked puzzled, then nodded to avoid being pressed about where he was going if he denied it.
"That's perfect," Dr. Morgan said. "We can walk together for a while longer."
"Are you going to the West Gate too?" Hope asked.
Professor Armitage shook his head. "It's just along the way; we'll leave halfway."
He had just finished speaking when he suddenly stopped.
Dr. Morgan stopped at the same time as him and pulled Hope, who hadn't reacted yet.
Dr. Morgan pointed in one direction. "Someone's arguing."
Hope could only vaguely make out two figures.
"It's Little Hawkins.," Professor Armitage said. "He's caused trouble again. Wait a moment, I'll go warn him."
Dr. Morgan grabbed Professor Armitage and said, "Professor, I remember you warned him just a few days ago."
Five days ago.
"Yes, and I saw him just yesterday. But he's caused trouble again today. Professor, perhaps a verbal warning isn't enough to get him."
"So what do you want to do?" Professor Armitage asked.
"We could use some... violent means. Of course, rest assured, not me. And, I suspect, that's what Professor Hawkins would like to see too."
As Dr. Morgan spoke, he pinched Hope's arm muscles, which made Hope feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Professor Armitage glanced at Hope a few times, then turned away.
This indicates that he no longer wants to deal with the rest.
Hope felt that he possessed a gentlemanly demeanor, one who "could not bear to see someone die even though he was alive."
"What do you want to do?" Hope asked.
Dr. Morgan smiled, "It's not what I want to do, it's what you want to do."
"Me? I didn't intend to do anything."
Dr. Morgan ignored Hope's reply and said:
"If you have any herbs you'd like, just tell me. As long as I have them and they're not too rare, I can send you some."
This statement is Dr. Morgan speculating on the needs of Love from the perspective of Love, a "mystic and herbalist enthusiast".
He continued:
"You know, I'm an associate professor of Pharmacology at Miskatonic University."
Hope licked her lips.
Dr. Morgan was right; Hope had indeed been wanting a certain herb, but had simply not found an opportunity to ask Dr. Morgan.
That was Hope's Oldest One purpose in contacting Dr. Morgan: the Nameless Herb in the shape of a six-pointed star described in the Common Herb Collection, which possessed the ability to "understand language."
Dr. Morgan included it in his paper.
"How far do I need to go?" Hope asked.
"Hmm..." Dr. Morgan thought for a moment, "Minor injuries are fine. As long as there are no permanent disabilities, Professor Armitage and I can handle the rest."
As long as it doesn't leave a lifelong disability... Hope guessed that Professor Morgan's "minor injury" was in a legal sense.
Legally, a comminuted fracture of the nose is also classified as a minor injury.
"What if I hadn't beaten him?" Hope asked again.
"Isn't that what I'm here for? The professor and I are both here. How could we let you get bullied by some thug on campus?"
Hope nodded and walked toward Little Hawkins.
He was determined to seek help from Dr. Morgan immediately if anything went wrong, as he did not want to have any marks on his body from a fight.
At the same time, although Dr. Morgan wanted him to use more force, Hope did not intend to do so.
Once we get close enough...
Hope saw that the two people arguing were a man and a woman; the man was probably Little Hawkins., and he was holding something in his hand...
Hope realized it was a baseball bat.
A baseball bat...
He turned around in astonishment to look at Dr. Morgan behind him, only to find that he could no longer see anything clearly at that distance.
Turning back, Hope took a few more steps forward. The two targets looked tense, and neither of them paid any attention to him.
Little Hawkins Jr., with his blond hair, casually swung a baseball bat. The girl in front of him had her back against the corner of the wall, so even if she was scared, she couldn't hide.
Well, the baseball bat never actually hit anything...
Hope stroked his chin, thinking.
Dr. Morgan and Professor Armitage seemed to have warned him many times, but it was always just verbal warnings, probably because Little Hawkins was relatively well-behaved and hadn't actually caused any trouble...
After all, judging from Dr. Morgan's attitude, although Little Hawkins ' father was a professor at Miskatonic University, Dr. Morgan clearly didn't care. He never took action himself, which was more likely due to some kind of professional ethics as a teacher.
Hope kept moving.
Agility: 0.99, Constitution: 1.43, Vision: 0.98, Mana: 0
He doesn't look particularly special, his physical condition is even a bit weak, and he doesn't seem to fit the baseball bat description.
Hope was confident that without that baseball bat, he could overpower Little Hawkins with his strength and agility.
He got too close and was spotted by Little Hawkins.
Little Hawkins turned around nervously and stared at Hope.
Perhaps realizing he didn't recognize the person in front of him, his expression quickly turned disdainful, and he rudely spat on the ground.
Seemingly trying to show off, Little Hawkins slung his baseball bat over his shoulder and said, "You..."
He didn't finish his sentence before letting out a painful scream.
As Little Hawkins looked at Hope, Hope continued walking, slowly and steadily approaching him.
The instant he placed the baseball bat on his shoulder, Hope was almost right in front of him.
Hope's last step landed a dozen centimeters away from Little Hawkins' toes. As soon as her foot touched the ground, two hands reached out from under her black raincoat and pressed down on Little Hawkins ' shoulders.
The second leg didn't stop; it quickly retracted, bent in mid-air, and its knee slammed into Little Hawkins ' stomach.
Little Hawkins Jr. collapsed, clutching his stomach, the baseball bat falling to the ground.
Looking at Little Hawkins now, Hope felt that her mission was accomplished, but she was also worried that the effect was not significant enough.
He bent down and picked up the baseball bat.
"You..." Little Hawkins seemed to want to say something more, "I... my dad... ah!"
The baseball bat landed on his buttocks, causing the two lumps of flesh to visibly ripple.
Little Hawkins. is very thin, with little body fat, Hope doesn't dare to hit other parts of his body for fear of causing injury.
Only the buttocks, and lots of flesh on the buttocks.
When Hope was a child, she heard that spanking wouldn't ruin a child.
Little Hawkins tried to say something, but Hope didn't give him a chance and hit him again.
Little Hawkins screamed in despair, no longer wanting to say anything; he wanted to run away.
Hope stepped on his back to stop him from moving, and then struck him again with the stick.
Hearing Little Hawkins ' screams, Hope felt it was about time. She quietly warned Little Hawkins to stay away from school in the future and casually tossed the baseball bat aside.
