Netero's Shock

In a sense, every Nen Ability was unique.

That was why Nen users rarely revealed the details of their abilities, whatever those abilities might be.

To Netero, there was nothing strange about Moyu asking everyone to clear the area.

And with time running out, Netero agreed at once.

It was a last-ditch attempt.

That was roughly what Netero was thinking.

The others from the Hunter Association found it hard to believe, but they knew how little time remained. They followed Netero's orders and quickly left the scene.

Netero alone stayed behind and made a request of Moyu.

Tick, tick—

With so little time left, the sound of a clock seemed to echo in their ears.

Moyu looked at Netero in surprise. This was going to be difficult.

He wanted to refuse, but his instincts told him that accepting Netero's request now would not be a bad thing.

Given Cheadle's relationship with Netero, and the fact that Netero already knew some of his secrets...

Perhaps there was no need to hide quite so much from the old man.

"All right."

Moyu thought for a few seconds, then accepted Netero's request.

"Ho ho."

Netero nodded slightly and stood quietly to one side, watching Moyu with curiosity.

An unusual background, unusual experiences.

And a maturity far beyond others his age.

He had a feeling that this rare young genius might surprise him once again.

On the sofa,

Davidson sat with his eyes closed, saying nothing, though he could hear Moyu and Netero talking.

When little more than a minute remained, he opened his eyes despite himself and studied Moyu.

He had never met this boy, yet the boy inexplicably stirred his hostility.

Who was he?

Davidson did not believe the situation could change, but he could not stop himself from pondering a question
