Background / History

Cheadle was a close friend of Elena, Moyu's mother. After Elena's death, she concealed information concerning the Post-Mortem Entity and Moyu's unusual birth rather than risk having him treated as an unknown Dark Continent disaster and taken into custody. 20

She has a fraught history with Hawk, whom she condemns as a grave robber and holds responsible for Elena's death. Nevertheless, she accepts his request for aid when Moyu awakens Nen under the suppression of God Script, insisting that she is acting in her capacity as a professional Hunter. 3 4

Concerned by Moyu's condition, Cheadle contacts Ging Freecss for insight into his awakening. Ging cannot explain it and notes that Cheadle had withheld information about the Post-Mortem Entity when she previously asked him to establish the God Script. 4

After Hawk is severely wounded while pursuing remnants of the Old Qinglin Squad, Cheadle treats his bleeding and goes to the Temple. There, she meets Moyu, recognizes his resemblance to Elena, and becomes determined to protect him from the Power of Price. 17 18 19 20
