Geography and Boundary

• The Foreign Realm lies beyond the Heaven Abyss, which divides the Border Desolation from the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths 144.
• Immortal King-level figures constructed the Heaven Abyss as a spatial barrier against invasion. Ordinary cultivators can cross it, but it detects and attacks Foreign Realm immortals attempting to pass through 617 618.
• After An Lan's self-immolation collapses the Heaven Abyss, a Sea of Laws separates the two realms 150 151.

Inhabitants and Forces

• Foreign Realm armies include creatures with wings or scales and beings composed of energy 618.
• Its immortals are comparable in strength to the True Immortals of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths. Its forces also field Supremes, including Demon Eye Supreme, one of its strongest fighters below the immortal level 144 145.
• Immortal Kings command authority over its forces. An Lan's arrival causes the realm's living beings to prostrate themselves, while an immortal addresses him as “my King” 623 624.
• The Red King's territory contains immortal herbs, cities forged from immortal gold, and a small earthen city where he cultivates in seclusion 155.

Conflict with the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths

Border Desolation campaign

• Foreign Realm Supremes fight Meng Tianzheng and other defenders at the Heaven Abyss. An Immortal Weapon brought through the barrier briefly restrains Meng Tianzheng's Burial Cloth 144.
• Jiang Han kills Foreign Realm Supremes, including Demon Eye Supreme, and the invading army retreats. He leaves ten figures of his Ten Transformations Battle Technique to guard Emperor Pass 145.
• Three years later, Immortal Kings weaken the Heaven Abyss's resistance enough for a Foreign Realm immortal to attempt a crossing. Three of Jiang Han's guarding figures destroy the immortal's body 146 147.
• An Lan confronts Jiang Han at the Heaven Abyss. In this account, An Lan self-immolates after being overpowered, collapsing the abyss and leaving the Sea of Laws between the realms 148 150.
• Wu Shang later attempts to cross the Sea of Laws. He retreats when faced with Jiang Han, but Jiang Han's Eternal Life Chain drags him back 152 153.

Jiang Han's incursion

Jiang Han crosses the Sea of Laws to pursue the Red King, who had previously tried to kill him through the River of Time. He destroys the Red King Tribe and confronts its ruler in the depths of the Foreign Realm 155. Jiang Han subsequently defeats Kun Di and the remaining Foreign Realm Immortal Kings before entering seclusion 157.

Later Border Desolation account

• Foreign Realm forces again fight at the Heaven Abyss. Wu Fang kills several of their Supremes, including Demon Eye Supreme, while the abyss injures an immortal who attempts to attack across it 618 620 621 622.
• An Lan and Yu Tuo face Ye Fan and Jiang Han amid a battle that damages space-time around the border 629 634 636.
• In this later account, Jiang Han injures An Lan rather than killing him. The Foreign Realm army retreats, and Jiang Han spares An Lan on the condition that the realm's forces do not cross the Thunder Pool again 640.
