Background

Jiang Han's consciousness merges with Tang San's on the Douluo Continent plane. After meeting Tang San's father, Tang Hao, Jiang Han chooses Tang San as his disciple and becomes his mentor in cultivation. 181

Tang San is Tang Hao's son. His mother, A Yin, was the Blue Silver Empress, a Ten Thousand Year Plant Soul Beast. Tang San had never met her and knew little of her until Jiang Han revealed her identity before the Blue Silver King. 346 351

The Eighty Thousand Year Blue Silver King recognizes Tang San's imperial bloodline and hails him as the returning Blue Silver Emperor. Through the awakening, Tang San sees an image of A Yin and experiences her love. 351

Personality

Tang San is curious, courageous, and exceptionally quick to grasp cultivation concepts and the dangers posed by powerful soul beasts. His confidence in Jiang Han's protection is evident even when he is restrained by an enemy Soul Skill. 181 312

He values mercy despite living in a world where strength and preemptive violence are often encouraged. When Jiang Han recommends killing a royal girl who had pursued him and Oscar, Tang San refuses to kill someone he considers innocent. 313

In battle, Tang San is calm, calculating, and decisive. He coordinates the Tang Sect disciples during team engagements, remains unfazed by provocation, and is willing to face opponents far stronger than himself to protect Xiao Wu and his companions. 333 384 398

Appearance

Tang San is introduced as a child of roughly five or six years old during his early Soul Ring absorption. When his Blue Silver Emperor power awakens, his skin becomes crystal-clear blue and Blue Silver Grass forms armor-like growths over his body. 314 351

  • Wields black Blue Silver Grass rather than ordinary Blue Silver Grass. 329 346
  • Can manifest eight spider-like lances from his back through his External Soul Bone. 315 383
  • Appears like a giant spider when airborne with the Eight Spider Lances extended. 383
  • Carries an inconspicuous black Clear Sky Hammer in his left hand when using his second Martial Soul. 388
