Background / History

Transmigration and the Xiao Family

Jiang Han transmigrated to the Dou Qi Continent and immediately faced a Brown-Yellow Male Tiger. In that crisis, he awakened the Gaze System: by continuously gazing at a stronger target for five seconds, he could absorb their power and strengthen himself. His first rapid advancement came from gazing at Xiao Xun'er. 1

He entered the Xiao Family disguised as a handyman to target Yun Lan Sect elder Ge Ye, whom he claimed had killed a close friend. When Ge Ye's associates, including Nalan Yanran, attacked him with lethal intent, Jiang Han killed them in self-defense. He then slew Ge Ye with the Extreme Blade Three Styles, took Ge Ye's Storage Ring, and warned Xiao Zhan not to provide an accurate portrait to the Yun Lan Sect. 3 4

Jia Nan Academy

Jiang Han traveled for a year before arriving at Jia Nan Academy, where Vice Dean Hu Qian placed him under Teacher Ruo Lin as a Yellow-Rank Instructor. He taught Yellow Class Two, where Xiao Xun'er was among his students, and subdued Hu Jia after she attacked him. 5 8

He became respected by students for both his cultivation and teaching. After completing a year as an Outer Courtyard teacher, he sought and passed the assessment to become an Inner Courtyard Elder. His rise from the academy's youngest Outer Courtyard teacher to its youngest Inner Courtyard Elder later became commemorated by a statue on campus. 9 22 26 81

Jiang Han repeatedly protected the academy and its members. He subdued the Fallen Heart Flame, killed Han Feng and other invaders, later rescued Hu Qian, Su Qian, and the Thousand-Hundred Two Elders from the Hall of Souls, and went to the Earth Hall to confront their captors. 65 81

Journeys Across Planes

After reaching Dou Di, Jiang Han entered the chaotic world through the All Heavens Gate and merged with another soul in the Shrouding the Heavens plane. There, he reunited with Ye Fan and Pang Bo, his former classmates from Earth. 87

Jiang Han is pragmatic and adapts quickly to danger. His first response to transmigration was fear, but he rapidly learned to exploit the Gaze System and survive within the Dou Qi Continent's power structure. 1
