Background / History

Qiuyue is a transmigrator who recognizes that he has entered the world of Classroom of the Elite. Before enrolling at Advanced Nurturing High School, he uses his Hacker Talent to earn money online and relieve some of his family’s financial pressure. He chooses the school because graduating from Class A promises a secure, high-paying career. 1

In his past life, Qiuyue became isolated after joining a malicious high-school social circle. He did not stop its bullying or harassment, eventually losing both his old friends and his place in the group. His later university life was similarly distant, as he kept others at arm’s length rather than risk being hurt again. 80

After transmigrating, Qiuyue receives three system-granted talents: Hacker Talent, Martial Arts Talent, and Pickpocket Talent. He trained his martial arts by fighting delinquents, eventually drawing the attention of a yakuza organization; he refused its invitation and focused on academics and exploiting his knowledge of future events instead. 81

His information trade expands after he sells evidence connected to Sudo’s case and becomes known to Ryuen as “X.” He also leverages recordings to negotiate with school authorities and protect himself from Chabashira’s pressure. 24 75

Uninhabited Island Exam

During the Uninhabited Island Exam, Qiuyue investigates every class’s camp while working secretly with Hoshinomiya and Class B. He deceives Katsuragi with a forged Horikita leader card, obtains information on Class A’s leader, and manipulates the Class B leadership registration. 46 47 67

Qiuyue also attempts to force Horikita out of the exam by soaking her with fish and water, then follows the resulting conflict involving Ibuki and Horikita’s key card. 49 61

His plan culminates in Karuizawa becoming Class B’s leader. Ayanokoji identifies Karuizawa as Class B’s leader, while Qiuyue correctly identifies Yukimura as Class D’s replacement leader; neither gains an advantage over the other. 67 73 74

Sakura’s Isolation and Qiuyue’s Confession

After Sakura is accused of betraying Class D, Qiuyue repeatedly defends her and helps convince a search group that she was framed. 58 60 61

When the class’s hostility continues after the exam, Qiuyue openly confronts Shinohara for insulting Sakura. He later confesses to being the traitor who exposed Horikita’s identity to Class A, redirecting the class’s anger away from Sakura and arranging for her protection through Chabashira. 79 81 82

Reconnection with Family

Qiuyue remains emotionally detached after his public fall from favor, but Ichinose contacts his mother on his behalf. The call forces him to confront his attachment to his new family and the life he has tried to treat as separate from his past. 85
