The Moya Adventure Group fleet was sailing.
There were seven ships, the Yanhuang Ships 1–7, with more than three hundred people in total and forty or fifty people on each ship.
On the flagship, in the hall, Captain Moya sat at the head. The crew included navigator Nami, doctor Kaya, cook Rim, assistant cook Rika, secretary Maddie, and gardener and sharpshooter Nojiko.
Officers: combatant Buggy, bombardier El Drago.
Squad leaders: butler Dis, Acrobat Cabaji, Beast Tamer Mohji, hypnotist and dancer Jango, Siamese cat Sham, spotted cat Buchi, swordsman Golass, Krieg with his Battle Spear, Ghost Man Gin, and Pearl the Invincible.
Combat pet Richie, and a few small, precious animals raised by the girls.
"Captain, there's a towering island ahead, reaching up into the clouds," the lookout shouted.
"Hm? Doesn't this look a bit like Clockwork Island from the movie?"
"It could make a good little base for manufacturing weapons."
Moya remembered the Playing Card Pirates from the movie. He thought they had a few decent underlings.
"Everyone's here, so let's have a quick meeting."
"The island ahead is called Clockwork Island. The pirates occupying it are the Playing Card Pirates."
"The captain is Bear King, a Steel-Steel Fruit user. His officers include Honey Queen, a Paste-Paste Fruit user, and Jack, who wears spiked armor,
"Pin Joker, a needle-sword fighter, and finally Ace, who uses gas propulsion. I've forgotten what the hell his name is. They also have a few hundred underlings."
"Take a look and pick your opponents. I'll handle their captain. Let's make this quick."
Moya shared what he knew about the enemy and laid out their plan, speaking with keen interest.
"Captain, there are way too few enemies! There won't be enough for all of us," El Drago blurted out.
"Same as always. Leave the swordsman to me." Buggy cackled, his face full of malice.
Swordsman Golass silently closed his eyes. He couldn't compete with officer Buggy, so he had no right to choose an opponent.
"I wonder how much treasure that pirate crew has. It's been ages since I last plundered any."
Nami's eyes turned into Beli symbols.
"In that case, let's all gang up on them. Whoever gets to an opponent first gets them. No time to waste."
"Launch a full-scale attack. Let's liberate Clockwork Island."
"Yes, Captain!!!"
"Captain, the other side has spotted us. Their fleet is charging this way!" the lookout shouted.
"Then let's fight! Open fire and charge!"
Both sides had small fleets, and neither was intimidated by the other.
'Sonic Laser Cannon!'
El Drago launched the first attack. His laser cannon punched straight through an enemy pirate ship, triggering a massive explosion.
Fear showed plainly on Honey Queen's face. She was terrified, and Jack beside her was sweating profusely. They had run into a terrifying enemy.
"Retreat! Retreat! Get back and find King Bear!"
The battle collapsed before it had even begun. Desperate screams filled the sea as the Playing Card Pirates fled in panic.
The Moya Adventure Group pursued them aggressively.
They soon reached Clockwork Island. After the Playing Card Pirates came ashore, they scrambled off their ships and ran straight back to Trump Castle.
"This is bad! This is bad! King Bear, a powerful enemy is attacking! Hurry and activate the giant clockwork mechanism to repel them!"
"What's going on? An enemy attack? My King Cannon just entered its test-firing phase. Let's see how they like it!"
Seeing the Moya Adventure Group rushing toward them, King Bear aimed the King Cannon at their ships.
With a boom, a solid cannonball shot out at incredible speed.
"El Drago, destroy it."
Moya watched the cannonball and spoke calmly.
"Yes, Captain. Leave it to me."
El Drago fired a Sonic Laser Cannon straight at the incoming cannonball.
A violent explosion erupted, smoke billowed, and endless waves surged across the sea, rippling in every direction.
Without a word, El Drago fired again. A beam of light shot straight to the top of Clockwork Island, destroying the throne. King Bear's King Cannon toppled over.
"Land and attack!"
The Moya Adventure Group's ships had already reached shore, and their underlings charged up in a swarm.
But King Bear used the island's mechanisms to turn the stairs into a slide. Seawater, rolling boulders, and all sorts of traps came rushing down.
Moya sat in the main seat. His secretary, Maddie, held a notebook, recording what he said and how the crew performed.
Rim stood quietly beside him with a tray of snacks, while Rika handed Moya a drink.
Nami and Nojiko watched the crew's advance through binoculars. Nojiko also quickly raised her sniper rifle to practice taking potshots.
The squad leaders charged up the stairs at the front. El Drago fired a Sonic Laser Cannon, destroying the stone steps and the mechanism along with them.
"You still dare to resist? Let's teach them a lesson!"
El Drago cursed furiously.
Siamese cat Sham, swordsman Golass, and Ghost Man Gin were faster than the others. The three of them were the first to charge up after the mechanism was destroyed.
Acrobat Cabaji, Beast Tamer Mohji, hypnotist Jango, spotted cat Buchi, Krieg with his Battle Spear, and Pearl the Invincible followed close behind, leading the underlings.
Before long, they had reached the top level.
The battle erupted at once. Swordsman Golass immediately locked onto Pin Joker, the needle-sword fighter. Their blades clashed, sending gusts of air surging all around them.
This clown swordsman had once been defeated by Zoro. The scar on his face was from Zoro's slash, though given Zoro's personality, he had probably long forgotten such a weak opponent.
Ghost Man Gin gripped his iron clubs in both hands and smashed them at Jack's spiked armor. It seemed he hated it just as much as his former captain Krieg's spiked armor, and he showed no mercy.
Gin looked sickly, but he was incredibly strong. Sanji was no match for him in strength.
Siamese cat Sham wasn't as lucky as Nami. He faced Ace, who flew around using gas jets. He looked like a skunk, so Sham decided to call him Skunk One.
Against Skunk One, who could fly by jetting gas and whose attacks all used poisonous gas, Sham had no way to fight back. He could only take a beating and dodge in every direction.
"Haha! Sham, you shouldn't have run so far ahead. Look at you, taking one beating after another! This is hilarious!"
Spotted cat Buchi's loud laughter came from the stairwell.
'Sonic Lightning Laser Cannon!'
Seeing Skunk One flying around, El Drago lost patience and fired the ultimate move he had just learned. It was an enhanced version of the laser cannon, perfected with Moya's guidance.
Skunk One was blown apart in an instant. The hit had also struck his gas equipment.
Blood and flesh flew everywhere, shocking everyone present, including El Drago himself.
"I didn't realize this move was so powerful with the captain's guidance! Haha!"
El Drago laughed heartily, completely ignoring the force of the gas explosion.
The move was supposed to be a penetrating ultimate attack, a bit like Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon—the move that killed Goku and his brother.
"Who are you people? Why are you attacking the Playing Card Pirates?" King Bear shouted, terrified and furious.
"Our captain said we're just training and getting some practice. While we're at it, we might as well liberate a few enslaved islands and make a little money."
Buggy the Clown's sleazy laugh rang out.
Another clown. There was a playing-card clown here, Buggy the Clown from the circus, and Donquixote Family's underground king, Doflamingo. Add them all together, and this would be quite a sight.
That old crook Oda sure liked the playing-card motif. The Donquixote Family had a playing-card-themed army, and so did Kaido's Beasts Pirates.
"You're their captain?" King Bear asked.
"No, no. I'm just a minor officer. The captain's still back on the ship. We're more than enough to deal with you."
Buggy still wore a carefree grin.
"How dare you look down on me! I'll fight you to the death!"
His fury immediately overwhelmed his fear, and King Bear launched an attack.
'Special Hot Bowling Ball!'
The Steel-Steel Fruit ability activated. King Bear's hands began to heat up, turning red-hot like steel. They radiated intense heat and waves of scorching air.
