"A unique Den Den Mushi left behind by a mysterious organization, containing many unidentified powerhouses digging into the secrets of this world?"
Brook tempted the young Golden Lion Shiki.
"I obtained this from a ghost ship in the Florian Triangle. This type of Den Den Mushi is almost never seen, and it only eats specific leaves. The powerhouses inside are all anonymous; it's impossible to know their true identities."
"There's such a thing? But if they are powerhouses, why hide and skulk about?"
Golden Lion Shiki asked skeptically, feeling that Brook was trying to pull a fast one on him.
"See for yourself."
Brook handed a Mobile Den Den Mushi to Shiki. Fortunately, he had already cleared the test messages. Brook had even used multiple Mobile Den Den Mushi to roleplay, leaving Shakky and Antonio stunned and afraid to speak.
Golden Lion Shiki looked curiously at the Mobile Den Den Mushi Brook handed him; it was indeed a species he had never seen before.
"This type of Den Den Mushi seems to only support text-based chatting; it cannot be used for voice communication."
Brook explained. Although the Mobile Den Den Mushi could technically support voice calls, he currently only allowed these new users to access the text-chat function.
Shiki picked up the Mobile Den Den Mushi and looked at the screen, seeing the text messages displayed there.
[No. 5: That old bastard Imu is searching for my true identity again today.]
[No. 49: Hey, what is this thing?]
[No. 33: A newcomer? You don't even know Imu? That guy is the King of the Celestial Dragons, a terrifying figure before whom even the Five Elders must kneel!]
[No. 9: Imu is the King of the World who has lived from eight hundred years ago until now. Once targeted by him, even a pirate overlord will die! It's just that with his strength, he doesn't even bother to look at them.]
[No. 49: What? There is such a terrifying person in this world? Lived for eight hundred years?]
[No. 35: By the way, No. 49, who are you? Are you famous on the seas?]
[No. 8: No. 49, do not reveal your identity under any circumstances. No. 44, who was boasting a while ago about being a pirate with a 1.5 billion bounty ten years ago, has already mysteriously disappeared. Weigh your own strength; there are many terrifying figures hidden in this world, all evading Imu's pursuit!]
Seeing these messages, Golden Lion Shiki couldn't help but feel a jolt of shock. Could someone with a 1.5 billion bounty just vanish like that?
Shiki, only in his twenties, immediately wanted to scroll down to see the history, but the Mobile Den Den Mushi screen quickly went dark.
"What's going on?" Shiki looked at Brook anxiously.
"This type of Den Den Mushi consumes a lot of energy. It can't even stay lit for half an hour a day unless fed leaves from Treasure Tree Adam or Sun Tree Eve. Right now, I'm only feeding it leaves from the Yarukiman Mangrove. How about it? Do you want one? I only have two!"
"Brook, do you think these things are true? I find it a bit unbelievable!"
After the shock subsided, Golden Lion Shiki calmed down and pondered for a moment.
"Whether it's true or not, as long as we don't reveal our identities, we won't be in danger."
Brook reassured the supernova, fearing he wouldn't be able to handle the information all at once.
"That's true. In that case, I can use this to gather information as well."
Shiki immediately took the Mobile Den Den Mushi, looking cautiously at the little creature as it fell into a dormant state, already preparing to hunt for leaves from the Yarukiman Mangrove, Treasure Tree Adam, and Sun Tree Eve.
"Brook, don't you have another Den Den Mushi? What number are you?"
Shiki looked on with curiosity; he guessed that Brook must know the number of the one he gave him, and he wanted to know Brook's number as well.
"I am No. 18."
Right in front of Golden Lion Shiki, Brook took out his own Mobile Den Den Mushi and began to type, demonstrating it for him.
[No. 18: Does everyone think the supernova Golden Lion Shiki has the potential to become a top-tier powerhouse this year?]
After Brook sent the message, no one spoke for the moment. He let Shiki take a look before putting it away, as there was currently no one else chatting—they were all his own alternate accounts.
This made the Golden Lion even more eager to know what these anonymous powerhouses thought of him. Although he was arrogant, he still wanted to know their opinions.
"Brook, I'm going to find the leaves this Mobile Den Den Mushi eats right now. Let's end our sparring for today. Thank you for the Den Den Mushi; I hope you can truly become my crewmate in the future."
Golden Lion Shiki immediately led his subordinates away to search for leaves from the Yarukiman Mangrove, Treasure Tree Adam, and Sun Tree Eve.
"Captain Brook, you really managed to fool Golden Lion Shiki?"
Shakky looked at the scene in disbelief. She had watched Brook's self-directed performance from the beginning and had thought it was quite boring.
"Do you think Imu is a lie?"
Brook turned back to look at Shakky's cynical, smiling face with a blank expression.
"Could it be real? Is there really someone who has lived for eight hundred years?"
Shakky's eyes widened. When she saw Brook nod slightly, her mouth fell open in total disbelief.
"Let's go, head back. Your wish to see the top supernova, Golden Lion Shiki, has been fulfilled for today."
Brook took the lead, and Shakky hurriedly trotted along behind him.
On the way, Brook considered how to warn those who were about to expose their identities, as he was already preparing to have Moore Thomas distribute these Mobile Den Den Mushi via Seagull News Birds to specific individuals when delivering newspapers.
But everything had to be done slowly; the most important thing was his own strength.
Brook and Shakky returned to the headquarters of the World Economic News Agency to find Antonio still busy communicating with the Den Den Mushi, deepening their bond.
"Antonio, the record for Golden Lion Shiki is number 36. Keep the first 20 numbers vacant, and make sure my number 18 can have its prefix changed at any time. From now on, try not to use these for sensitive conversations."
Brook instructed the two crew members who were privy to his secrets.
"I understand, Captain. I will coordinate with number 18; you'll need to feed it plenty of good things from now on!"
Antonio immediately relayed Brook's intentions to the mobile Den Den Mushi, successfully reaching an agreement.
Brook went straight to find Moore Thomas to ask for help in locating certain pirate crews, seeing if the news-delivering seagulls could track them down, and incidentally, to deliver the mobile Den Den Mushi.
Moore Thomas agreed readily; having already tied Brook to his own faction, he was naturally inclined to assist him and satisfy his requests.
Looking at the familiar names on the list, Brook smiled knowingly; perhaps some of these people could become his companions.
Meanwhile, the Marine branch had captured photos of the battle between the Supernovas Golden Lion Shiki and Humming Brook, as well as shots of Bloody Fist Scarlet being bested by Brook.
