Background / History

Before joining the Hell Pirates, Shakky worked on the Sabaody Archipelago as an intelligence scout. She sold information to intelligence organizations and occasionally robbed pirate treasure vaults, earning enough to become a target for other brokers. 6 7

After Brook killed Poison Cannon Sarin, Shakky carried Sarin’s head to the Marines, claimed the 56 million Beli bounty, and returned Brook’s agreed half without attempting to cheat him. 7 A gold-rimmed information broker later tried to seize her accumulated wealth—estimated at more than 500 million Beli—using a group of hired men. 8

Shakky blinded the attackers with quicklime and escaped through the sewer system using false footprints to mislead her pursuer. With her Sabaody livelihood compromised, she sought out Brook and volunteered to join his crew. 8 Brook accepted her as his second crew member and assigned her as navigator and intelligence officer, while also ordering her to train Antonio in identifying and collecting useful intelligence. 8
