Zhan Liu gazed into the distance and saw the tsunami surging toward them, blotting out the sky and covering the earth. It pushed forward like a mountain, and after crashing into the shore, its base was blocked by the towering buildings, causing it to come crashing down as if the heavens themselves had collapsed.

The waves were often hundreds or even thousands of meters high. Once they toppled over from the coastline, the crests could crash straight into the suburbs, then continue along the roads toward the city center on the force of their momentum.
