Transparent Sticky Slime seeped out of Sticky Baby's body and trickled down Li Yi's forehead.
Zhou Lu's mouth twitched as he shot a fierce glare at Huohuo, who knew it had done something wrong and was clinging to his leg. "What are you doing?"
Although receiving mission rewards was something to be happy about, Zhou Lu still could not accept gaining personal benefits by hurting his own teammate.
Fortunately, from the emotions Huohuo conveyed, it had not done it on purpose. It had merely meant well and made a mess of things.
"Are you okay?" Zhou Lu hurriedly apologized. "It just finished its metamorphosis, so it might not understand things very well yet..."
As he said that, Zhou Lu felt somewhat guilty.
He had never expected the words "she's still just a child" to come out of his own mouth one day.
Li Yi seemed to have read something similar from Sticky Baby's emotions. He smiled helplessly. "It's fine. Sticky Baby already explained. But there's something I need your help with."
As he spoke, he pointed at the Sticky Baby on his head. "Help me pull my Sticky Baby off."
A first-tier Metamorphosis Stage Sticky Baby could already freely adjust the water content of its slime. But Huohuo's throw had come too suddenly, and Sticky Baby had immediately gone into stress mode, releasing a great deal of extremely sticky slime from its body.

"It's fine," Li Yi said with a smile when he heard Zhou Lu. "Anyone who raises a Sticky Baby is basically used to this already. We're always prepared to shave off the hair from anywhere on our bodies."
Judging by the razor Li Yi carried around, this did seem to happen often.
"Besides." As he spoke, Li Yi lifted his Sticky Baby and placed it atop his smooth bald head. "Looking like this can attract plenty of girls too. My dad tricked my mom this way."
After Sticky Baby retracted its slime, its surface was soft and cool. Perched on someone's head, it would absolutely stand out in a crowd.
Seeing the adorable Sticky Baby lazily sprawled atop Li Yi's head, even Zhou Lu felt the urge to go up and poke it.
Poke, poke~ Poke, poke~
Just as Zhou Lu was thinking about it, Huohuo had already put it into action. It extended its vines and curiously poked Sticky Baby on Li Yi's head.
When it saw that Sticky Baby had no intention of resisting at all, it became much bolder, rubbing Sticky Baby back and forth with two vines.
Rub the ball! Rub the ball!
The more Huohuo rubbed, the more excited it became, even beginning to sway rhythmically.
"Huohuo!" Zhou Lu sighed and gave Huohuo's tender sprout a hard knock, finally stopping its rude behavior.
Seeing that its master was unhappy, Huohuo quickly withdrew its vines. Perhaps because of all the rubbing, however, the vines it pulled back still had some of Sticky Baby's slime on them.
Like a fly rubbing its hands together, Huohuo rubbed its two vines together.
Wow! It can even stretch into threads!
Huohuo stared at the transparent strands stretching between its two vines as though it had discovered a new continent.
"Alright, stop playing." Seeing Huohuo playing again, Zhou Lu said helplessly, "We should train."
As he spoke, he looked toward the Class Monitor, who was using binoculars to observe the surroundings. "Class Monitor, have you found a suitable place to train?"
"Over there." Xu Wuhu raised a hand and pointed into the distance. It was a bend in the river, where one of the grassland secret realm's few forests stood.
Beyond the forest, many cattle and sheep wandered leisurely through the lush grass.
These cattle and sheep were merely ordinary wild animals. They had not metamorphosed into extraordinary spirit beasts.
That was perfectly normal. Animals such as cattle and sheep had their weight to consider. No matter how docile they were, their safety could not be guaranteed. Thus, the academy regularly issued missions, using Academic Credits as rewards to encourage upperclassmen to clear out cattle and sheep that had metamorphosed into extraordinary beings within this safe zone. Naturally, those left behind were all ordinary beasts.
The extraordinary spirit beasts that could move about within the grassland secret realm's safe zone were mostly small first-tier spirit beasts like chipmunks. A stronger Beast Tamer could even fight them barehanded.
The training area Xu Wuhu had chosen for Zhou Lu was indeed excellent. From cattle and sheep to chipmunks, from ordinary beasts to spirit beasts, there were large and small creatures alike. It basically covered the kinds of ordinary enemies people might encounter, making it ideal for Huohuo to get accustomed to using vines to bind different spirit beasts.
Since all his exam teammates were here, Zhou Lu needed Huohuo to practice the Entangling Vines skill to a usable level in the shortest possible time, so as not to waste the secret realm time they had exchanged Academic Credits for.

Xu Wuhu called to the silver squirrel on his shoulder.
The Silver Armor Rat was a steel-element spirit beast. It could unfold itself into metal armor and attach itself to a companion, granting them attribute bonuses. And this attachment included not only teammates' spirit pets, but also its own Beast Tamer.
Following Xu Wuhu's command, the silver squirrel on his shoulder immediately transformed into silvery-white liquid metal and wrapped around Xu Wuhu's entire body at an incredible speed.
The first-tier Silver Armor Rat did not yet possess other abilities and could not transform into cooler armor. Thus, it looked as though Xu Wuhu were wearing a silver bodysuit.
Still, Xu Wuhu's muscular lines truly were beautiful—strong and powerful, brimming with the beauty of strength—so the Silver Armor Rat did not look too out of place after attaching itself to him.
If it were me, I'd probably be seen as some creepy pervert.
Zhou Lu silently mocked himself.
"I'll help you lure the monsters over," Xu Wuhu said to Zhou Lu. "Li Yi, have Sticky Baby make traps. Don't let those wild beasts charge at you."
"Understood." Li Yi nodded.
"Thanks," Zhou Lu said as well.
Binding moving enemies was clearly more difficult than binding stationary objects. But if he wanted the Entangling Vines skill to have greater combat value, this was indispensable training.
