Background / History

Huohuo was brought back from Xinyue Beast Taming Academy by Zhou Lu's father after undergoing an extraordinary metamorphosis. Her true identity remained concealed for much of the story: she is the extinct Nine Lives Immortal Grass, which Ouyang Xiao had previously revived from Secret Realm samples but could not reproduce. This identity makes her a target for Yan Gui, which seeks immortality-related materials. 133 166

She began as a small, mobile grass Spirit Pet living with Zhou Lu. Even at First Tier, she learned [Vine Step], [Mad Growth], and [Entangling Vines] unusually quickly, developed improvised headbutt attacks, and displayed intelligence beyond expectations. 5 9 10

Zhou Lu discovered that Huohuo's growth did not follow ordinary training patterns. Her breakthrough to Level 20 came when she tried to comfort him with tea and vine-knot encouragement, suggesting that her emotional bond with him is closely connected to her growth. 67 68

Her later evolutions were supported by extensive skill absorption, offshoot cultivation, and specialized evolution materials. By the time she became a Quasi-God, she had become Zhou Lu's central combat force; by Fifth Tier, her evolution affected an entire Secret Realm. 187 252 298

Appearance

Huohuo initially resembles a small blade of grass growing from a flowerpot. As she evolves, she blooms into a flower-like Plant Spirit Pet with vines, offshoots, and a more expressive, humanoid manner of movement.

Huohuo is affectionate, eager to please Zhou Lu, and intensely protective of him. She learns by imitation, takes pride in useful work, and seeks praise after completing tasks.
