Background / History

Su Fan awakened his Martial Soul in the Heaven Spirit Empire. Although Aperture displayed spatial properties, its innate soul power was only Level 1. Rather than accept its poor starting quality, he chose to cultivate it as a Body Martial Soul, condensing apertures within himself and nurturing them with soul power. His older brother Su Tian supported him despite reservations about Su Fan’s optimism. 1

At Dou Ling Royal Soul Master Academy, Su Fan studied Core Arrays under Lin Yue. He discovered that he could engrave arrays into his apertures, accelerating cultivation and eventually forming the basis of his Aperture Method. He joined the Dou Ling Team as a reserve member after his rapid progress drew Director Chi’s attention. 8

Su Fan sought increasingly dangerous soul rings to compensate for his Martial Soul’s initial weakness. He absorbed rings beyond his nominal level, acquired rare immortal herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, and developed Soul Apertures, the Ancestral Aperture, and the Heavenly Gate. 9 13 15 20
