Ye Xishui remained at the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters despite sensing imminent danger from Du Busi, Su Fan, and Electrolux. The cult was indispensable to her intended path to godhood: using its Evil Soul Masters to slaughter the continent and ascend as the Death God. She had inherited this method from the previous Holy Spirit Cult sect master, and believed herself closer to success than any predecessor. 113

Long Xiaoyao urged her to abandon the headquarters and flee, but rejected her plan once she disclosed its genocidal purpose. Although devastated by his decision, Ye Xishui refused to relinquish the cult or her ambition. 113

Destruction of the Holy Spirit Cult

During the assault on the Holy Spirit Cult, Electrolux used Purification Fire to release the aggrieved souls bound to Ye Xishui's evil cultivation. Their liberation destabilized the foundation of her power and reduced her soul-ring configuration from six black and three red rings to three purple, three black, and three red rings. 114 117
