History

Stagnation and renewed cultivation

After spending many years at level 98 with no visible route forward, Du Busi lost much of his motivation to cultivate. He increasingly devoted himself to nurturing disciples and developing the Body Sect. Su Fan’s exceptional Body Martial Soul talent arrived during this period, prompting him to invest heavily in the new disciple 50.

Their instruction became reciprocal. Du Busi provided protection and Body Sect techniques, while Su Fan shared advanced Aperture knowledge beyond the foundational teachings available to the wider continent. These insights restored Du Busi’s cultivation drive and opened a path beyond his longstanding bottleneck 45 48 50.

Sun Moon Empire infiltration and Mingde Hall raid

After the Soul Master Tournament, Du Busi accompanied Su Fan to the Sun Moon Empire to obtain a hundred-thousand-year fifth soul ring. He also sought the soul beast embryo held by the Sun Moon Royal Team. The interception failed because automated Soul Tools simulated the team’s signatures and repeatedly diverted the pursuers 40 41.

In the Jingyang Mountain Range, Du Busi defeated the hundred-thousand-year Silver Moon Wolf Emperor. Its seven-element counterattack wounded him through his energy shield; he retaliated brutally before leaving the finishing blow to Su Fan, who obtained its soul ring and soul bone 42 43 44.

Du Busi then pursued the embryo inside Mingde Hall. He negotiated with Su Qian to secure Su Fan’s disguised identity as Su Yu and permission for fifty Body Sect members to enter the empire. These arrangements also supported a recruitment network for Body Martial Soul masters 45 46 47.

After becoming a Limit Douluo, he immediately exploited the diversion caused by his breakthrough to attack Mingde Hall. While he occupied its defenses, Elder Qilin retrieved the embryo through an underground tunnel. Du Busi used Su Fan’s prepared teleportation measure to regroup, then broke the spatial blockade with his Gold-Grade Second Awakening 63 64 65.

The raid changed his assessment of Soul Tools. Mingde Hall’s artillery and stockpile of Level 9 Fixed Soul Guidance Shells threatened even his new realm. Immortal herbs and the path toward godhood

Du Busi accompanied Su Fan to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, coerced its resident soul beasts into supplying refinement materials, and investigated its immortal herbs while Su Fan cultivated. He had previously practiced poison arts in the surrounding miasma but abandoned the location because of its extreme pain 68 69.

Learning that Tang San claimed the well briefly unsettled him, but did not stop him from taking its treasures. He allocated herbs according to the needs of Body Sect disciples and viewed Apertures, Soul Apertures, and a future third Soul Core as the foundation for pursuing godhood 69 71.

His subsequent Soul Core transfer established a new cultivation technique: using Heavenly Circuit Apertures to replace a Soul Core’s function. This both strengthened him and provided experience that Su Fan and other sect members could apply to their own cultivation 75 76 130.

Conflict with Tang San and the Holy Spirit Cult

When Tang San’s divine sense probed Snow Demon Mountain, Du Busi resisted with his Mental Soul Core, aided by Su Fan and Electrolux. He later defeated Niu Tian, severely damaging his origin; Tang San’s intervention distracted Du Busi long enough for Niu Tian to escape 98 99.

Rather than remain confined by divine surveillance, Du Busi accepted Su Fan’s proposal to move the sect’s disciples into the Sun Moon Empire and seek external support. The disciples resumed recruitment while Du Busi, Su Fan, and Electrolux approached the Evil Emperor and then the Holy Spirit Cult 104 106 113.

At the cult’s headquarters, Du Busi condemned Long Xiaoyao for sheltering Evil Soul Masters and attacked him and Ye Xishui. His enhanced Pseudo-Triple Soul Core overwhelmed Long Xiaoyao, while Electrolux purified the souls sustaining Ye Xishui’s cultivation. Du Busi and Su Fan pursued the wounded pair into the ocean, but ultimately failed to finish them 113 114 117 121.

Auspicious Beast hunt and Beast Tide

In Shrek City, Du Busi detected abnormalities in Wang Qiu’er’s transformed body and pursued her when she fled. He struck her down with soul power, then confronted the Shrek elders drawn by the fighting 131 132.

His Poison Dragon Energy Wave overwhelmed Xuan Zi and threatened Shrek Academy until the Golden Ancient Tree intervened. Du Busi and Electrolux subsequently obstructed Tang San while Su Fan escaped with Wang Qiu’er’s corpse to absorb her soul ring 132.

During negotiations over the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Du Busi refused to surrender the sect’s gains. He used the prospect of condensing a true third Soul Core—and thereby challenging the plane’s limits—as leverage against Tang San. He later fought Di Tian during the Beast Tide 138 139 141.

When a presence stronger than Di Tian stirred within the Star Dou Great Forest, Du Busi prepared to make that breakthrough if it intervened. He likewise responds to the Silver Moon Wolf Emperor’s threats by deciding that his strength makes further argument unnecessary 42 51.

His generosity toward disciples coexists with severe ruthlessness. He hunts rare soul rings for Su Fan, protects him from dangerous missions, and respects his secrets. Yet he tortures the Wolf Emperor after being wounded and privately considers lethal force an acceptable answer to a disciple betraying the sect 42 50 63 130.
