Unfortunately, faced with a bought-off judge and a psychiatrist, even though the evidence of this criminal's crimes was conclusive, the final ruling was only to send him to a mental institution rather than prison.
"I believe he has strong aggressive tendencies. If he is imprisoned alongside others, he may very well harm other inmates. Therefore, I recommend that he be sent to a mental institution," psychiatrist Jonathan Crane concluded.
The recommendation left Rachel Dawes looking deeply indignant. This was a brutally vicious murderer, one of Falcone's most capable men. She had spent countless hours gathering irrefutable evidence to bring him to justice, only for it to end like this.
