She could not exactly be called battle-hardened, but she had certainly seen plenty. Besides, although she had now developed the visual abilities of an ordinary person, she still perceived her surroundings through multiple sensory modes. And she was not afraid of the dark at all. Even without the flashlight in Nana's hand, she could still "see" everything around her clearly. The terror bonus brought by this gloomy, eerie underground space was therefore practically zero for her.

Still, Little Apple stayed pressed close behind Sister Nana with Yang Zhen'er, the three of them squeezed into a single cluster—she liked this feeling of everyone getting scared together, of being "terrified" together.

So although Little Apple had her neck tucked in, her waist slightly bent, and her arms wrapped around Sister Nana's arm, looking as though she were saying, "So scary, so scary," her face was full of smiles, as if she were saying, "So fun, so fun."

After the largest stone coffin opened by itself, a lump of flesh sprang out from inside. Its exact shape was impossible to make out. It looked like a mass of meat that had been forcibly stuffed into a container, its edges molded into the shape of that container.

At the sight of that thing, Tang Baona instinctively took several more steps back. Yang Zhen'er and Little Apple each clung to one of her arms, so naturally they backed away with her.
