The Great War Between Transcendent Forces

"Cough, cough, cough."

"My apologies, Lord Otake-maru."

In the Philippine Sea, atop the highest peak of Suzuka Mountain floating in the sky, KYG knelt on one knee in a hall of gold and white jade, lowering his head in shame.

"That was what happened. I failed to bring Arlong back."

"Arlong."

Two thrones stood side by side at the head of the hall. One belonged to Otake-maru, while the other was naturally occupied by Suzuka Gozen.

The first to speak was Suzuka Gozen, dressed in a valiant hunting robe of white and red, with a black court cap atop her head.

"I specifically told him to act together with Roman."

Yet something had still gone wrong!

Suzuka Gozen naturally knew of the hatred between Arlong and Teach. There was no reason for a leader to stop a subordinate from seeking revenge. But the gap in strength between them was too great, so she had long instructed Arlong to act alongside Roman.

Roman possessed the technique of Water Body Flicker. On the sea, he was nearly invincible; even if he could not win, he could still retreat calmly.

"Roman was attending the 'exchange meeting' in Tokyo. They had originally agreed to act three days later, but..."

KYG took the initiative to explain for Roman. Jokes were jokes, but when it came to serious matters, he certainly would not throw a teammate under the bus. Besides, this truly was not Roman's fault.

"Roman is already on his way back."

"Arlong was too impulsive."

With that, Suzuka Gozen understood everything.

Arlong had acted on his own without waiting for Roman and fallen into Teach's hands. So the question now was:

"What does that Teach want?"

She turned to ask Otake-maru beside her.

By the time Suzuka Gozen had appeared, Teach was already dead.
