Charms Class Never Lacks Surprises
Kyle was stunned as he watched Kanna turn and walk into the Charms classroom. He never expected that Kanna would actually take his previous words seriously.
This is Felix Felicis!
If it were the Weasley brothers, let alone if it were just a joke, they probably wouldn't care even if they actually turned into Swallow-tailed Dog.
Kyle wanted to say something, but Kanna was already sitting in the classroom, talking to her roommate.
Seeing this, Kyle could only put away the bottle of Felix Felicis and then went into the classroom.
This lesson will teach you the Engorgement Charm, a very useful household charm that Hagrid uses frequently.
The pumpkins in his field became so big because of the Engorgement Charm.
This is the most amazing part: magic can't conjure food out of thin air, but it can make existing food bigger, and the taste won't be any different.
But for some reason, very few people would eat food that had been enchanted with Engorgement Charm.
Hagrid's pumpkins eventually ended up being used as Halloween decorations.
"Gestures are very important..."
Professor Flitwick stood in front and said earnestly, "Remember what I just said: keep your arm steady, use your wrist, and draw a circle downwards... Also, be careful not to mispronounce the incantation..."
Although the Engorgement Charm is something you learn in the second year, it's not difficult; it's much simpler than the Levitation Charm.
Kyle looked at the buttons on the table in front of him and gently turned his wand.
"Engorgio!"
In an instant, the button began to inflate rapidly, like a balloon filled with air, and soon became almost the size of a plate.
"Oh, well done!" Professor Flitwick clapped his hands and shouted, "Look everyone, someone has succeeded! Hufflepuff, five points!"
It's easy for Kyle, but it's a different story for others.
Mikel and Ryan tried to do what Kyle had just done, twisting their wrists again and again, but the button, which should have grown bigger, remained motionless on the table.
In a fit of anger, Mikel poked the button with his wand... The button blew off with a bang, grazing Professor Flitwick's hair and crashing into the wall.
On the other side, Gryffindor in a similar situation.
"Engorgio... Engorgio!" shouted a young Gryffindor wizard, completely forgetting what Professor Flitwick had just said, waving his arms like a windmill.
Button didn't react, but because he moved so much, he accidentally poked Katie Bell with his wand.
"Merlin's beard ..." Professor Flitwick seemed to have anticipated something and covered his face with his hands.
The next second, Katie Bell inflated into a ball and slowly floated up to the ceiling.
She looked terrified, waving her arms wildly and letting out piercing screams.
"Don't panic, Miss Belle, don't panic."
Professor Flitwick rushed over and quickly brought her back to health. He then had the still-shaken Katie Bell taken to the Hospital Wing.
He had seen many such accidents in his Charms class and handled them with ease.
"Mr. McLaggen, your arm-waving motion is excessive and very dangerous."
Professor Flitwick angrily declared, "Ten points deducted from Gryffindor!"
After the Charms class, Kyle intended to go find Kanna, but she had already left.
And she never mentioned it again after that, as if it weren't a precious Felix Felicis, but just a bottle of Pumpkin Juice that could be found anywhere.
There are never any secrets at Hogwarts.
The news of Gryffindor's McLaggen blowing up his classmate into a balloon spread the next day.
"This is unbelievable!"
At the dinner table, Harry ate some toast and asked Ron curiously, "How do you think he did that...?"
"Never mind that for now."
Ron clearly didn't want to discuss this. He looked at Harry and asked eagerly, "Is what you just said true? Professor McGonagall really made you the Seeker?"
"That's what Professor McGonagall said."
Harry said, "And she also took me to see a fifth-year boy named Oliver Wood, saying she wanted to train me."
"Oliver Wood?" Ron asked.
Harry nodded.
"He's the Quidditch captain of Gryffindor, that's incredible, and you're only a first-year student!"
Ron popped the pie he'd been holding into his mouth and said, "Harry, you must be the youngest hockey player in many years."
"It's been a century," Harry said, taking a piece of pie as well. "Oliver Wood told me."
"A century..."
Ron sat there, staring blankly at Harry.
"I'm starting training tomorrow," Harry said. "Don't tell anyone, Oliver Wood wants to keep it a secret."
Just then, Fred and George entered the Great Hall, and as soon as they saw Harry, they hurried over to him.
"Well done," George whispered. "Oliver Wood told us we're on the college team too, we're Beater."
"Let me tell you, we're definitely going to win the House Cup this year!" Fred said excitedly. "You'd never guess how surprised Cedric and Kyle were when they heard that."
"They're from the Hufflepuff team," George said. "Before this, they thought Gryffindor was doomed, huh... two stupid gifted students."
Has Kyle joined Quidditch?
Harry was somewhat surprised. He had always thought that a student as outstanding as Kyle would only be interested in studying, just like Hermione. He hadn't expected that Kyle would also like Quidditch.
"Strictly speaking, not yet," Fred said. "But he'll have his final selection tomorrow, and if he passes, he'll be a member of the team."
"I think you could go and take a look then, just to get some intelligence on the enemy beforehand..."
"Is that okay?" Harry's eyes lit up. "I mean, isn't that the Hufflepuff selection?"
He's now very interested in everything Quidditch, and he'd love to see how others play it beforehand.
"Go ahead," Fred laughed. "Slytherin is out of the question, but Hufflepuff won't mind."
"We have to go," Lee Jordan said, believing he had discovered a new secret passage leading out of the school.
"I bet it's the passageway behind the statue of Gregory the Smarmy; we discovered it on our first day at school."
Good luck, goodbye.
"Goodbye!" Harry waved to them, then turned to Ron and asked, "I'm planning to go see them tomorrow, do you want to come along?"
"Let's do it together then," Ron said after thinking for a moment. "Although saying this might be a blow to your morale, I've watched Kyle and Fred play Quidditch, and he's really good at it."
"Is that so..."
Hearing this, Harry became even more curious, like a cat scratching at its prey, wishing tomorrow would come immediately.
