The next day was the weekend, so there were no classes.

As soon as Kyle opened his dorm room door in the morning, he was greeted by Cedric was stretching out his arms.

"What kind of look do you have..." Kyle asked doubtfully, "Are you imitating the Lucky Cat?"

"What cat... never mind, it's not important."

Cedric lowered his arm, which he had just raised, and said, "I came to call you. Have you forgotten that today is Quidditch selection day? Why are you only coming out now?"

"I haven't forgotten, I just woke up..." Kyle rubbed his face and said matter-of-factly.

It's rare to have such nice weather on a weekend, it would be a shame not to sleep in a little longer.

Cedric rubbed his forehead and said, "The selection is at ten o'clock, and it's already nine-thirty... How could you sleep?"

"There's still half an hour, plenty of time."

Kyle picked up his Nimbus 2000 and followed Cedric out of the common room.

Kanna was also there; she had been waiting outside when Cedric went to call Kyle.

The group crossed the field and arrived at the Quidditch Pitch.

The selection process hadn't officially started yet, but the area around the stadium was already quite lively. Even Professor Sprout, who rarely left the greenhouse, had come. She was standing in the middle of the stadium, talking to Madam Hooch.

There were quite a few people sitting in the surrounding stands, some from Hufflepuff and others from other houses.

Judging from their tense demeanor, it was clear that at least half of them were there to gather intelligence.

But Harris, as the team captain, didn't care and showed no intention of driving them away.

When Kyle and his friends arrived, he even enthusiastically explained the basic rules of Quidditch to some of the younger wizards.

"Quidditch is actually quite simple. The Chaser is responsible for throwing the Quaffle, and the Beater is responsible for using the bat to protect his players from the Bludger and to hit the Bludger towards the opposing players."

Harris, sitting in the stands, said to a boy wearing glasses, "But you don't need to worry about any of that. As a Seeker, Harry Potter, your task is to catch the Golden Snitch in the shortest amount of time."

"What is the Golden Snitch...?" Harry asked curiously.

"A troublesome little guy," Harris said, "But catching it will end the game and give your team a 150-point bonus."

"The Golden... Golden Snitch ..." Harry muttered to himself.

But then he suddenly realized something and looked at Harris with a bewildered expression, saying, "Wait... how did you know I'm the Seeker!"

"It's very simple."

Harris shook his head and said, "Oliver Wood has been grinning from ear to ear these past few days, even adding extra spoonfuls to his food. We noticed something was off a while ago."

The only thing that could make him so happy is the issue of Seeker.

"So Oliver Wood told you?" Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, the information wasn't leaked from my side.

"It has nothing to do with him."

Harris shook his head and said, "That Oliver Wood kid was trying to keep it a secret from me, saying he was only happy because his owl had a second litter."

So I went directly to Professor McGonagall and asked her; she's the one who told me you've become Gryffindor's new Seeker.

"Professor McGonagall?" Harry sat there blankly, and for some reason, he felt a pang of sympathy for Oliver Wood.

He had initially planned to use himself as a secret weapon to catch the other teams off guard, but in less than a day, his opponents had openly obtained the information from Professor McGonagall.

What kind of secret is this...?

"Good job, Harry, you'll be great." Harris stood up, patted him on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "I'm looking forward to the day we compete against each other."

After saying that, he left the stands and walked towards the center of the field, greeting Kyle and his teammates who had just walked over.

"Looks like it's about to start."

Kyle, holding his Nimbus 2000, casually found a seat near the front of the stands.

Kanna glanced at the field and asked, "How many players are we going to select this time?"

"Two, one Beater and one Chaser," Cedric said. "Kyle is participating in the Chaser selection."

"Um."

Kyle nodded beside him.

Compared to spending the whole game battling with Bludger or searching for Golden Snitch, what he likes most is the feeling of scoring a goal.

Although each goal is only worth 10 points, if you score a lot of goals, you can get 150 points... or even more.

At 10:00 AM sharp, the selection process began.

The first step was to select the Beater, with a total of three people chosen.

With Harris's help, the three of them rode on Broomstick to the center of the court.

The Beater's main tests are accuracy and the power of his swing. Harris had already brought over the box containing the Bludger.

All the three of them need to do is stay on the broom as long as possible, and the last one to be knocked off will join the team.

As Harris opened the box, the two Bludger shot out like cannonballs, crashing around in mid-air.

The three men, each wielding a wooden stick, deflected the Bludger towards them.

After all, they've gone through the preliminary rounds, so they definitely have the skills. It's impossible for them to be eliminated right at the start, but things will change as time goes on.

Everyone watched in silence.

Five minutes later, the first person to be eliminated appeared.

He was a second-grade student, and the youngest of the three.

Perhaps because he hadn't gotten any results, he gradually became impatient and tried to Bludger towards the other two players.

As a result of using too much force, he accidentally let go of the stick and threw it away.

There's not much to say about that; the next second, he was knocked off his broom by another Bludger.

"Oh... that must hurt a lot."

In the stands, Harry couldn't help but gasp when he saw this, and instinctively reached out to touch his shoulder, as if he had been bumped as well.

That's what Beater are like.

Ron explained from the side, "George told me that when he first joined the team, he broke his arm three times from being hit by Bludger."

Fred was in a similar situation, except he broke his leg.

Upon hearing Ron's words, Kyle, who was sitting not far away, looked at Cedric with a puzzled expression. "Fred and George had their arms broken by the Bludger?"

"No, it has never happened!"

Cedric stated unequivocally, "The other Beater have all been injured to some extent, but only Fred and George... as far as I know, throughout the entire school year, the Bludger never even hit their clothes."

In fact, they themselves were like two Bludger.
