Gryffindor Loses Ten Points
After entering November, the weather became very cold, and frost appeared on the ground every morning.
A thick, hard layer of ice seemed to have formed on Black Lake overnight, and many people were playing on it.
As soon as they left the warm castle, Kyle and Cedric felt a gust of cold wind hit them.
"Hiss... It's so cold!" Cedric shivered. "Luckily, I put on a thick robe a few days ago, otherwise I would definitely catch a cold if I went out in this weather."
Last year, he didn't change his thick robe in time, so steam rose from his head for three days straight.
That's how Madam Pomfrey's potions are: they work quickly, but they always have some strange side effects.
"It'll probably be much warmer during training later." Kyle tightened his collar and quickened his pace.
"That's right."
The two crossed the field and arrived at the Quidditch Pitch.
They arrived relatively early; at that moment, Harris was carrying boxes of Quidditch balls out of the stadium.
Kyle also saw Hagrid, who was wrapped in a long mole-skin coat and was defrosting his Broomstick.
Upon seeing Kyle, Hagrid waved enthusiastically and said, "Hey, Kyle, is it training time today?"
"Yes, Hagrid."
Kyle walked over and took out his wand.
"Scourgify!"
In an instant, all the frost on those Broomstick was wiped away.
"How convenient..." Hagrid looked at Kyle's wand with some envy, and subconsciously glanced at the little pink umbrella in his pocket.
His wand is hidden inside this umbrella, but for some reason, he cannot use it in front of outsiders.
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" Kyle asked.
"No, thank you." Hagrid picked up the brooms and said with a smile, "If you ask me, you should have trained after lunch; the weather would be much warmer then."
"There's nothing we can do. Today is the last weekend before the competition, and all three academies have to train," Kyle said, shaking his head helplessly.
If possible, he would certainly like to train when it's warmer, but unfortunately, Harris is too honest. After being persuaded with just a few words, he agreed to the last choice of the court.
So Ravenclaw had four hours after 10 p. m., and the rest of the time was Gryffindor's, so they could only come at that time.
"It seems everyone is taking this year's competition very seriously," Hagrid said. "But I believe you can win; after all, Hufflepuff was last year's champion."
"Of course, that's what I think too."
At this time, the other team members also arrived at the court one after another. Kyle said goodbye to Hagrid and soon joined the others in training.
Because today was just a routine practice, not a tactical discussion, Harris did not close off the stadium.
About half an hour later, the number of people in the stands gradually increased.
Most of them are young wizards who love Quidditch, and after discovering that they can freely enter and exit the stadium, they are happy to come here to have a taste of the game before the official matches.
At 10 o'clock sharp, Harris, who had been training for two hours, and the rest of the team landed from the air and handed over the use of the field to the Ravenclaw team, who had been waiting there for a long time.
Kyle followed the others back to the castle.
Before long, the spectators in the stands also came out, and it was clear that they were not in a good mood.
Fortunately, this wasn't the first time this had happened. After muttering a few complaints, he rubbed his shoulders and hurried back to the castle.
Kyle glanced at them thoughtfully.
"What are you thinking about?" Cedric noticed Kyle's unusual behavior and couldn't help but ask.
Kyle said, "What do you think about us making a heating device?"
"Heating supplies?"
"That's right." Kyle pointed to the people who were shivering from the cold.
"The temperature has dropped rapidly in the last few days, and it will definitely be colder on the day of the Quidditch Match. If we could launch a convenient heating device at this time, it would be very popular."
"Well..." Cedric seemed hesitant. He thought for a moment and said, "What you said makes a lot of sense, but there's something you might not know."
"During last year's competition, in order to avoid being affected by the bad weather, we would use the Heat Wind Charm and Warm-up Charm in advance, and these two charms are ones that third graders need to learn."
Kyle didn't seem to care much about Cedric's concerns.
His target wasn't the older students; he didn't need those in third grade or above, and he also had first and second graders.
That's enough.
After having the idea, the two quickly found Kanna and the twins to discuss it.
Qiu couldn't come because she had to train.
The five of them huddled together in an empty classroom and stayed until noon before leaving.
"It's settled then, Kyle!" Fred said excitedly, standing in the doorway.
"After waiting for two months... we can finally do something big!" George waved his hand and said, "You know, I've been looking forward to this since the start of the semester."
"It seems I've heard something quite interesting."
Just then, a sinister voice suddenly came from not far away.
Fred and George were startled and quickly turned around to look.
Snape and Filch were standing at the corner of the corridor not far away, watching them with ill intent.
"It's you two again, I caught you this time..." Filch stared at Fred and George, saying gloatingly, "Breaking school rules time and time again, and still showing no remorse."
As he spoke, he glanced at Snape standing to the side.
"To teach them a lesson, how about locking them in the dungeon? I've always maintained those chains; they're always ready to be used."
Snape didn't say anything; he had just seen Kanna next to Kyle, and his expression suddenly turned very ugly.
"Making a loud noise in the corridor... Gryffindor deducts ten points."
Snape limped up to Kyle and said coldly, "Now, tell me what foolish ideas you have this time."
If looks could cast spells, Kyle would probably see hundreds of Sectumsempra appear before him right now.
"I think you've misunderstood, Professor."
Kyle rubbed his shoulders, looking a little awkward, and said, "We're just looking forward to next week's Quidditch Match."
"That would be for the best," Snape said, narrowing his eyes. "If I find out you're lying or breaking any school rules, I guarantee you'll be expelled."
Kyle twitched his lips, only to feel a sudden toothache.
He just couldn't understand it.
Shouldn't Snape be seeking validation from Harry? Why is he still fixated on him?
Why won't you speak!
Looking at the silent Kyle, Snape frowned and said with disgust, "Disrespect for the professor... Gryffindor loses another ten points!"
