Fluffy Goes Berserk
Five minutes into the game, the first goal finally came.
It's Angelina from Gryffindor...
The cheers from the stands were like thunder, echoing in the cold air.
Kyle clapped along with everyone else, just as Lee Jordan had said, Angelina is indeed an excellent Chaser.
When she attacked just now, it was as if she could really fly; she broke through Slytherin's rear defenses all by herself.
But just as Kyle finished clapping and was about to continue watching the game, a large, fiery red bird suddenly flew through the crowd and landed on his shoulder.
"Fawkes?"
Kyle looked at the phoenix on his shoulder with some surprise.
What's going on? The principal's bird likes watching Quidditch too?
I've never heard of that.
The young wizards around them were also startled.
Cedric stared at Fawkes with his mouth agape, like a pervert, almost drooling.
"This... this is a phoenix?!"
"That's right, that's right!" Suddenly, he stood up excitedly, gesturing wildly as he exclaimed, "This is a phoenix! It's exactly as described in the book!"
"Calm down, look at you, so pathetic." Kyle gave him a disdainful look and said, "It's just a phoenix, no big deal."
Cedric curled his lip.
It's easy for him to say... This is the first time in his life he's ever seen a living phoenix.
At this moment, Kyle had already taken out a handful of Dittany leaves and handed them to Fawkes.
Watching a game naturally requires snacks.
But unexpectedly, Fawkes didn't eat it. It shook its head and whispered something in Kyle's ear.
"What the hell?"
Kyle frowned.
Fawkes wasn't there to watch the game; he was there to deliver a message.
Dumbledore to speak with him.
But the competition has only just begun...
Seeing that Kyle didn't move, Fawkes raised his head and ruffled his hair.
"Alright, alright, stop pulling my hair, I'll go." Kyle could only stand up.
"What's wrong?" Kanna asked curiously.
Kyle whispered, "The headmaster wants to see me; I have to go back to the castle."
"Headmaster?"
"Yes, this phoenix is the principal's pet..."
"Does this... require our help?" Cedric asked.
"No need, you guys continue watching the game."
Kyle glanced longingly at the pitch before squeezing through the crowd and hurrying toward the castle.
There was no one on the road, and Kyle learned from Fawkes why Dumbledore had sought him out.
Upon returning to the castle, Kyle went straight up the stairs to the fourth-floor restricted area.
Dumbledore was already waiting for him there, along with Hagrid.
"Professor Hagrid."
Kyle greeted them, then frowned and said, "I heard from Fawkes that Fluffy has gone mad?"
"I think so," Dumbledore said softly. "Sorry, Kyle, this might keep you from watching the game, but only you can figure out why right now."
"It's alright, Fluffy is my friend too." Kyle shook his head and said, "Can I see it now?"
"Certainly."
Dumbledore opened the door and led Kyle inside.
Inside the room, Fluffy was fast asleep, his body pressed against the Trapdoor.
"Some necessary measures," Dumbledore explained. "If it were awake, it would attack everything around it in a frenzy, and then it would be very difficult to close this door."
"I understand." Kyle nodded.
He then stepped forward and carefully examined Fluffy ' body.
There were no wounds, and the hair was intact, so it shouldn't have been caused by external injury.
Kyle frowned, seemingly understanding why Dumbledore had summoned him.
"Professor, can you wake Fluffy up?" Kyle asked.
"Then you'd better be prepared, Kyle." Dumbledore's expression was somewhat serious. "Believe me, a mad Three-headed Dog is far more terrifying than you think."
"It's alright, with you here, I'm sure I won't get hurt."
"That's the best compliment you could give," Dumbledore smile. "The last time I was this proud was when I became the Hogwarts Headmaster."
"Then, step back..."
Dumbledore raised his hand and gently tapped the well-defined wand.
Fluffy, who had been lying on the ground, suddenly opened his eyes.
"Roar..."
The angry roar echoed throughout the room like muffled thunder, even shaking the dust off the ceiling.
Fluffy tensed all his muscles, leaped up from the ground, and pounced on Kyle, who was closest to him, without saying a word.
It was incredibly fast, arriving in front of Kyle in the blink of an eye. Its three large mouths opened simultaneously, revealing its yellowed teeth.
But just then, a chain suddenly appeared out of nowhere and bound Fluffy ' neck.
Then came the second one, the third one...
Six chains, like a spider web, firmly bound Fluffy to the spot, preventing it from moving even an inch forward no matter how much it struggled.
In the midst of the violent struggle, the chains even tore through its skin and became deeply embedded in its body.
"Oh..."
Hagrid clutched his chest and let out a painful groan, as if the chains were still on him.
"Please... Dumbledore, please!"
But Dumbledore remained unmoved, his eyes fixed on Kyle.
Fluffy was still barking incessantly, Kyle tried to talk to it, but it was no use.
With no other option, Kyle could only focus his attention on its roars.
Because he was unconscious, Fluffy ' roars were not coherent, but Kyle noticed that a few words appeared more frequently.
"Die... kill..."
"Hagrid..."
"Revenge!"
Soon, in Fluffy ' reckless struggle, the chains were gradually stained red, and the entire room was filled with the smell of blood.
Hagrid covered his mouth, crying silently. He seemed to want to go forward to comfort Fluffy, but as soon as he got close, his arm was almost bitten off.
Fortunately, Dumbledore pulled him back in time.
Fluffy ' injuries were getting worse, Kyle finally spoke up.
"That's enough, Principal!"
"Stupefy!"
A blinding light flashed in the room, the chains vanished, Fluffy slammed into the wall behind him like a cannonball. After swaying twice, he collapsed with a thud.
Hagrid rushed over and applied the Essence of Dittany to Fluffy ' wound.
Dumbledore looked at Kyle.
Before he could ask, Kyle said directly, "If I'm not mistaken, the reason it became like this is to avenge Hagrid."
Dumbledore's blue eyes flickered.
"Help me... help me get revenge?"
Hagrid turned around in surprise, his face still streaked with tears.
"But I'm perfectly fine, and it even tried to bite me just now..."
"That's the strange thing," Kyle frowned. "It seems to think you're dead and considers us all the murderers."
