First Appearance, A Match That Ended Before I Could Hold Back
"That was amazing... I simply can't believe that Harry Potter actually caught the Golden Snitch with his mouth in the end."
"It's safe to say that Harry Potter is an exceptional Seeker. When his broom broke down, I thought Gryffindor was going to lose..."
"I'm sure this year's Quidditch Cup belongs to Gryffindor!"
Inside the castle, everyone was excitedly discussing what had just happened in the match.
Kyle silently made his way through the crowd back to Hufflepuff's common room, where he found Cedric and Kanna.
Upon meeting, Cedric eagerly asked, "What happened? Why are you only coming back now? And what's the deal with that phoenix...?"
"The phoenix belongs to Professor Dumbledore; you could call it his pet," Kyle said. "It just stays mostly in the Headmaster's Office, so you rarely see it."
Kanna thought for a moment and said, "So it was the principal who contacted you earlier?"
"Um."
Kyle glanced around and quietly recounted what had happened in the restricted area to them.
"That Three-headed Dog has gone mad..."
Cedric gasped instinctively, then quickly covered his mouth in surprise.
Are you serious?
"Nonsense," Kyle said. "Otherwise, why do you think I would have ignored the game and only come back now?"
"But who would do that?" Cedric asked, puzzled. "What good would it do Three-headed Dog to use Confundus Charm and Dark Magic on him?"
"I don't know..." Kyle shook his head and said, "Professor Dumbledore hasn't had time to look into it yet."
Even so, he suddenly thought of Quirrell.
The forbidden zone, the Fluffy Lucas guards the Philosopher's Stone... This matter is definitely related to him, but Kyle still can't figure out what his purpose is in doing this.
If the intention was to use the Trapdoor, there was clearly no need to provoke Fluffy, as that would only make things more complicated.
Moreover, if Fluffy runs away, Hogwarts will most likely be forced to close, and at that point, he will never have another chance to get the Philosopher's Stone.
I just can't figure it out...
"In any case, it's best if we avoid the restricted area for now." Cedric thought of Three-headed Dog and said with some lingering fear, "If we absolutely have to go to the fourth floor, we should try to avoid that area."
There's no need to be so nervous.
Kyle said, "Professor Dumbledore is already handling it. Just be careful and don't try to get too close."
After hearing Kyle's words, Cedric and Kanna lost interest in discussing Quidditch any further, and the group quickly went their separate ways.
It wasn't until Kyle left that Cedric suddenly remembered that there was something he had forgotten to ask.
Why didn't the headmaster call Professor McGonagall for something so dangerous, but instead sent Kyle instead...? Could it be because he'd been following Mr. Scamander and knew something about Three-headed Dog?
Cedric looked up.
However, Kyle had already left the common room and disappeared somewhere, so he obviously didn't have a chance to ask.
For the next period of time, Kyle did not return, not even during mealtimes.
And nobody knew where he was; it was as if he had vanished into thin air.
It wasn't until the afternoon of the following day, just before the game, that Cedric saw Kyle again in the locker room.
He was holding a broom and talking to Harris.
"Very good, Kyle."
Harris chuckled and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "I thought you'd be too nervous to sleep, so I even prepared Pepperup Potion for you."
Harris then gave a pep talk, and the group checked their brooms and uniforms one last time before lining up and heading to the field.
Today's match was also packed with people. As last year's champions, the Hufflepuff team was greeted with deafening cheers as soon as they entered the stadium.
Kyle noticed, however, that there were far fewer professors next to the commentary booth than yesterday.
Most of the seats were empty; apart from Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape, no one else had come.
It seems the professors know about Fluffy ' situation... Kyle thought to himself as he walked to the center of the court with the others.
After giving a few instructions as usual, Madam Hooch blew her whistle.
Fifteen Broomstick soared into the air and rose high into the sky.
"It's Kyle from Hufflepuff! He's the first to get the Quaffle!"
Lee Jordan shouted from the commentary booth, "He's a newcomer who just joined the team this year. Apparently, he had an unbelievable performance in the tryouts. I wonder if he can still pull it off in the official game... Oh, he passed the ball to captain Harris..."
For some reason, Lee Jordan suddenly became serious.
Some disgruntled voices came from the stands... This commentary, devoid of even a single witty remark, was not what they wanted to hear.
But Lee Jordan turned a deaf ear.
Just kidding, he just copied an entire book of "How to Commentate Quidditch" under Professor McGonagall's supervision yesterday, writing from the end of the game until the early hours of the morning, and almost died in his office.
It's only been one night, so they should definitely tone it down a bit.
"As everyone knows, Harris of Hufflepuff is one of the best Chaser, and his combination with Kyle... oh my god! What am I seeing... that's Two-Way Attack!"
Ravenclaw's goalkeeper misjudged the ball and tackled the wrong player; the Quaffle landed in Kyle's hands... Goal! Hufflepuff scores! Less than ten seconds into the game... They've broken the record for the fastest goal!
The stands erupted in cheers, with many people standing up excitedly, waving their arms and shouting.
"Well done!"
On the court, Harris flew back and gave Kyle a light high-five.
"Perfect teamwork..." Lee Jordan exclaimed, "Ravenclaw is probably in for some trouble."
Just as he expected, the entire game was then completely taken over by Kyle and Harris.
They were like two emotionless scoring machines, throwing the Quaffle into the goalposts time and time again.
Ravenclaw's Beater tried to stop them, but Hufflepuff had anticipated this, and the Bludger couldn't get close to Kyle and Harris at all.
In just half an hour, the score had been pulled to an extremely high level.
Hufflepuff scored 170 points.
Ravenclaw Zero.
In the end, even Lee Jordan felt somewhat numb, and when commentating on Ravenclaw, his voice unconsciously carried a hint of sympathy.
"Poor Wisner... He's just like the goalkeeper of the Chudley Cannons back then, completely outplayed... I really hope he can hold on."
It was at this moment that Kyle and Harris realized they might have gone a bit too far.
Harris glanced apologetically at the dejected Ravenclaw goalkeeper and gave him a silent wink.
Kyle nodded knowingly.
They're planning to let Ravenclaw score a few goals.
But just then...
"Wait a minute, is that the Golden Snitch?"
A golden streak of light suddenly appeared below the field. Cedric and Qiu accelerated simultaneously, side by side, diving rapidly towards the ground.
But Cedric's broom was clearly faster than Qiu's, landing on the ground first.
"I've caught the Golden Snitch!" He raised his arm high, a golden object glimpsed between his fingers.
The match is over...
