late at night.

On the third floor of the castle... in a women's restroom on the left side of the corridor near the stairs, several loud laughs and a piercing scream suddenly rang out.

A ghost wearing glasses suddenly burst out of the wall.

The next second, the wooden door to the washroom was opened from the inside.

Peeves followed, laughing as he carried a handful of water-filled balloons. He also had a brand-new bag tucked into his waistband, filled with balloons of various colors—he had plenty of ammunition.

Shortly after the two ghosts left, a corner of the previously empty corridor suddenly distorted.

"Phew... they're finally gone."

Kyle dispelled the Disillusionment Charm, then went to the bathroom, pushed open the door, and went inside.

Because it hadn't been used for a long time, the old wooden door suddenly emitted a teeth-grinding creaking sound.

The washroom was small and covered in dust.

However, Kyle didn't pay attention to any of that. He went to the pool, looked around, and quickly found the faucet with a small snake carved on its side.

"This should be it..." Kyle reached out and touched the snake, murmuring, "The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets."

Kyle had hesitated for a long time before deciding whether to come here.

With his current strength, he has absolutely no chance of winning against the Basilisk.

Besides, he's not Harry; he won't have the help of the Phoenix or the Sorting Hat.

But Kyle still came.

Putting everything else aside, he had to come here just for the snake molt in the Chamber of Secrets.

Like the Dragon Basilisk is a treasure trove almost from head to toe. Its molted skin is an extremely rare Potions ingredient. On the black market, a piece the size of a palm can sell for ten Galleon, and it's incredibly rare and expensive.

The one in the Chamber of Secrets was almost twenty feet long; if it were Galleon, it could be piled up into a mountain.

It's already quite remarkable that he managed to hold out until now before coming over.

Kyle touched the little snake again, making a strange hissing sound.

"Open..."

Although Kyle doesn't need Parseltongue to communicate with snake-like Fantastic Beasts, this ability clearly doesn't work on the faucet.

So when Kyle was with Newt, he specifically sought out a Runespoor and learned a few phrases of its dialect.

While it may not be authentic, it is certainly very standard.

Because at this moment, the faucet emitted a dazzling white light and began to spin rapidly, and then the sink also started to move.

Kyle watched as the pool slowly disappeared from sight, revealing a pipe so thick that a person could crawl inside.

Kyle touched his box, took out his Broomstick, and then decisively jumped inside.

The light inside the pipe was very dim, and there was a sticky substance all around.

Kyle rode his Broomstick downhill, making seven or eight turns before finally leaving the pipe.

Kyle got off the broom.

This is a dark stone tunnel, large enough for a person to stand inside.

"Wand-Lighting Charm!"

Kyle lit his wand and cautiously walked forward.

However, the tunnel was too dark, and he could only see a small area in front of him. His shadow was stretched long on the damp wall, making him look like a monster.

Mouse bones are scattered everywhere on the damp ground; Scabbers would probably love them.

Kyle walked along, keeping an eye on his surroundings, ready to run away at any moment.

A few minutes later, Kyle rounded a dark bend in the tunnel and finally found what he was looking for.

The silhouette of a colossal creature coiled motionless on the other side of the tunnel.

Kyle quickened his pace and walked over, raising his wand as he did so.

The light shone on a huge snakeskin, making it appear emerald green with a dazzling golden sheen, incredibly vibrant.

Kyle immediately opened the box and stuffed the whole thing inside.

He then searched the surrounding area again, but only found some scattered fragments of snakeskin; this was the only complete one.

Seeing this, Kyle gradually calmed down.

The fact that there is only one complete snake skin indicates that the Basilisk did not frequently roam this area.

If he's not mistaken, that was left fifty years ago... the same time Tom Riddle first opened the Chamber of Secrets.

Kyle continued walking forward, but for safety's sake, he did not completely let his guard down and still gripped the Broomstick tightly.

Along the way, in the spirit of diligence and thrift, Kyle did not let any of the fragments go unnoticed; he collected them all whenever he saw them.

Picking things up as they went, they soon reached the end of the tunnel. After turning the last bend, a solid wall blocked Kyle's way.

Carved on the wall are two intertwined snakes, their eyes inlaid with large, Winky emeralds.

Kyle reached out and pressed his hand on one of the gems.

He suddenly realized that if he removed the gems, the wall would never be opened again...

Kyle thought this way, and he did it.

Unfortunately, no matter what method he used, whether by force or magic, the gem showed no sign of loosening.

It felt as if it were one with the entire wall.

Kyle put in a lot of effort, but all he did was exhaust himself.

"Forget it, I won't try..."

He raised his head, looked into the eyes of the two snakes, and let out another low, hoarse hissing sound.

The two snakes parted, the stone wall split in the middle, and slowly slid to both sides and disappeared. Kyle reached into the box, took a deep breath, and went inside.

On the other side of the wall was a long, dimly lit room, with two rows of stone pillars carved with large, intertwined snakes.

After arriving here, the snakeskin completely disappeared; not a single trace could be found.

Kyle held a wand in one hand and a rooster by the neck in the other, with Broomstick tucked under his arm, as he slowly made his way among the stone pillars coiled with giant snakes.

Every step he took created hollow echoes in the ghostly walls.

Kyle first carefully searched the surroundings until he was sure that there were no other pipe openings besides the one behind him, before he felt safe enough to cross the room.

Before the last pair of stone pillars, Kyle saw a statue as tall as the room itself, pressed against the dark wall behind it.

The statue depicts an old, monkey-like face with a sparse, long beard that almost reaches the ground.

"Salazar Slytherin ..." Kyle squinted and muttered, "She's not that good-looking. Lady Hufflepuff looks much more like a legendary wizard..."

Kyle tilted his head back, knowing that if he uttered the last word of the Parseltongue, the statue's mouth would open, and the Basilisk would fully awaken.

"Should we awaken the Basilisk?" Kyle wondered hesitantly.
