Fake Wands and Strange Percy
After making their decision, the two stopped mentioning the topic of class schedules.
After Kyle finished eating, the group went up to the attic, where Fred also produced a book list filled with Lockhart's name.
"They're all Lockhart's books," he said. "The new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher must be a fan of his...maybe a witch like my mother."
"I see it..." George said dramatically, holding an orange as if it were a crystal ball that could foresee the future. "This year's Defence Against the Dark Arts is going to be a disaster."
"This doesn't require Divination."
Kyle peeled open his "crystal ball," broke off a piece, and put it in his mouth. "Is there any year when Defence Against the Dark Arts wasn't a disaster?"
"Oren is alright." Fred glanced at Kyle instinctively. "If he weren't a dark wizard..."
"You're not wrong," Kyle shrugged.
If we only consider teaching quality, Oren could even be considered the best Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts in the last twenty years.
Unfortunately, he's a dark wizard, and a dark wizard with ill intentions towards me... which makes things a little less pleasant.
Thinking about the recent Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, the group lost interest in continuing the conversation. George put down the book list he was holding and pulled a rubber stick from a box in the corner.
Because their research on the "Skiving Snackboxes" had been slow to progress, Fred and George had been spending their time in the attic fiddling with another of their joke products... magic wands.
This idea came to George in a flash of inspiration during his Charms class.
From the outside, they look exactly like real wands, but if someone tries to use one to cast a spell, it will randomly turn into some kind of rubber product.
With Kyle's help, they've almost succeeded in making it in the last few days.
The only problem now is how to maintain the stability of the fake wand, ensuring that it only changes when you want to cast a spell.
However, Kyle didn't help with this problem... After all, they were all working together, and he couldn't take on everything himself; he had to leave some things for Fred and George to do.
And when they're busy, I can have a little peace and quiet.
For the entire morning, Fred and George were trying different methods to maintain the Transfiguration of the fake wand.
Kyle, meanwhile, was studying the new Hogwarts Map.
After two years in the map business, some people have already discovered the business opportunity and started to compete for it.
After all, this thing is not difficult at all; even lower-grade students could make it.
Hermione drew a similar map last year; if she can do it, others can too.
Moreover, unlike other products, the map's target audience is newly enrolled young wizards who have absolutely no prior knowledge of Hogwarts.
Even if Kyle and others are established brands, it's difficult for them to gain any advantage when the products are the same.
Other things are one thing, but Slytherin's market absolutely cannot be lost.
Therefore, it's time for a major map update.
What he showed Nicolas earlier was a prototype of the new Hogwarts Map.
What he needs to do now is simplify the manufacturing process to a level sufficient for mass production, and then distribute it to others.
It doesn't matter if they have fewer features, as long as they can move and display routes in real time, they can regain their advantage.
The three of them were busy with their own things, not disturbing each other, and the scene was very harmonious.
But this harmony lasted only a short morning.
Not long after lunch, a loud, piercing noise suddenly came from outside.
A few minutes later, Fred, unable to concentrate any longer, stuck his head out the window and immediately saw Ron shouting and yelling.
"Can't you be quiet!" he yelled.
Outside the room, Ron, who was holding Broomstick, immediately stopped, staring blankly at Fred's face. His gaze was as if he were seeing Snape dancing ballet, filled with shock and disbelief.
"Mother!"
Ron rushed back to the Burrow, "Come quick! Percy's turned into George!"
Clearly, he had mistaken Fred and George for each other again.
"What are you talking about? What happened to me?"
But then, the window on the third floor of the Burrow was suddenly pushed open, and Percy said impatiently, "And could you please be a little quieter?"
Ron stood there dumbfounded. He looked at Percy, then at Fred across from him, his already bewildered mind completely shutting down.
When will our little brother become a bit smarter?
Fred sighed and said, "But George, I think I understand how Percy felt before."
"Yes," George said with a smile, "It's so noisy outside, it's really hard to concentrate."
"Then from now on..."
"Hey, don't talk nonsense, it's all Ron making noise. We're usually pretty quiet!"
"That's right!"
George glanced disdainfully at Ron outside the window, then seemed to have thought of something and chuckled:
"I suddenly have a great idea. Do you remember what Ron's wand looked like?"
"Of course I remember, it cost us seven Galleon." Fred raised an eyebrow. "So you mean..."
"Yes, that's exactly what I meant..."
Where does he usually keep his wand...?
"In the pocket of the robe..."
"But he doesn't wear a robe when he plays Quidditch..."
"Hey-hey..."
The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously revealed a wicked smile.
Kyle shook his head and asked, "Haven't those fake wands been successfully made yet?"
"That's why we need someone to help us test it," Fred said matter-of-factly.
"Only by knowing where the problem lies can we make improvements, right?" George winked as well.
With that thought in mind, the two lost the will to continue and pulled Kyle to the open space outside the room.
The Burrow front of the Burrow, Mrs. Weasley was scolding Ron, telling him to keep his voice down and not disturb Percy's reading.
"I really want to know what he's doing!" Fred frowned, looking at the closed window on the third floor. "He just got twelve OWL certificates a few days ago, but he doesn't seem particularly proud of it, and he's actually busier than before."
"This is very unusual," George said thoughtfully. "And I also noticed that his name on the letter was pink, although he explained that he ran out of ink, but I still feel that something is wrong."
The group arrived at the Burrow.
Fred used the excuse of getting the Broomstick to squeeze into the house.
When he came out again, he subtly gestured "done" to Kyle and George.
To avoid arousing suspicion, they didn't go back, but instead went with Harry to a paddock on the hill, where they played Quidditch for a while.
