The Vanishing Harry
Ever since Fred gave the magic wand to Ron, they've been waiting to see what the effect would be.
But a week passed and Ron still hadn't discovered this... in other words, he hadn't used his wand for a week.
This greatly disappointed Fred and George.
"It seems we have a very obedient younger brother."
One evening, Fred said somewhat helplessly, "He really remembered the rule that students can't use magic outside of school, and he's always strictly adhered to it..."
Ottery St. Catchpole is a large village with many wizards living there. As long as they are not discovered by Muggle, the Ministry of Magic will not pay any attention to the magical reactions that occur here.
Therefore, the ban issued before the holiday is essentially worthless here.
Not to mention Kyle and the twins, even Cedric and Percy often practiced spells in their room.
In this respect, Ron was exceptionally well-behaved.
For this reason, Fred and George's plan to test the magic wand is unlikely to succeed in the near future.
George sighed and said, "If only he could follow the rules like this at school."
"Maybe Gryffindor can even win the House Cup because of this."
Fred shrugged, then looked at Kyle:
"By the way, Kyle, we're planning to go shopping in Diagon Alley tomorrow. Do you want to come along?"
"Let's go together then," Kyle asked. "What time do we leave tomorrow?"
"Morning."
George said, "We need to buy a lot of books, and Ginny needs to prepare for school, so we have to go early."
After agreeing on a departure time for tomorrow, Fred and George left.
Back in his room, Kyle wanted to read for a while longer, but whether it was from excitement or something else, he couldn't concentrate on a single word.
With no other option, Kyle turned off the lights and went to bed early.
It seemed like a long time had passed before dawn finally broke.
After getting up, Kyle quickly ate a few bites of bread and headed to the Burrow.
The Weasley family were having breakfast, and although Kyle repeatedly said that he had already eaten, Mrs. Weasley still stuffed several pieces of bacon sandwiches into his hands.
Ginny gave him a seat.
After Kyle sat down, Mr. Weasley, who was eating, looked up and asked, "Has your father already gone to the ministry?"
Kyle nodded. "He received a letter half an hour ago and rushed off to the Ministry of Magic."
"It must be those guys..." Mr. Weasley muttered. "They were unhappy with the new Muggle Protection Act, so they threw all their Dark Magic items into places where Muggle frequent."
I think they probably think they're very clever, solving the problem while also causing us some trouble in this way."
"But they did succeed," Kyle shrugged.
Lately, the Daily Prophet has been reporting daily on Muggle being affected by Dark Magic, and the number is increasing, keeping the Ministry of Magic's Accidental Magic Reversal Squad extremely busy.
Moreover, even the animals were not spared. Whether livestock or insects, they all became extremely irritable and aggressive after coming into contact with the discarded Dark Magic items.
Some people even found purple ants the size of their palms...
This is why Chris rushed to the Ministry of Magic early in the morning.
"It's only a temporary success." Mr. Weasley took a bite of his sandwich and chuckled. "Scrimgeour has already started investigating this with the Auror, and now no one dares to throw those Dark Magic items anymore."
A bunch of self-important fools, I'll catch them red-handed sooner or later...
"Go, Dad!" Fred and George exclaimed excitedly.
"Quiet down." Mrs. Weasley slapped the twins on the shoulder and warned, "Be careful, Arthur. Those people are not to be trifled with. Don't forget you've been suspended from the investigation."
"It's only temporary, Molly," Mr. Weasley said. "The stay of investigation is only for three days. Kingsley told me there have been quite a few more people in Knockturn Alley lately. They must be scared and eager to sell their Dark Magic items."
"But Mr. Weasley, why don't those people put the things in Gringotts?"
Kyle asked with some doubt, "The Ministry of Magic can't inspect the vault, so it should be safe inside, right?"
"I don't know either..." Mr. Weasley thought for a moment and said, "Maybe they didn't want anything cursed to taint their gold coins..."
After breakfast, Mrs. Weasley picked up a flowerpot from the fireplace mantel and turned to the group, saying, "Well, guests first, Harry, you go first!"
She brought the flowerpot to Harry.
"What... what should I do?" Harry hesitated for a moment, then stammered.
"Mrs. Weasley, Harry probably hasn't used Floo Powder before." Kyle stepped forward. "I'll go first, and it'll show him how to do it."
"I've never used Floo Powder before..." Mrs. Weasley frowned, seemingly finding it somewhat unbelievable.
Harry gave Kyle a grateful look and nodded repeatedly.
"Alright then..." Mrs. Weasley handed the flowerpot to Kyle.
Kyle pinched a pinch of the glittering powder from inside and tossed it into the fireplace flames, then strode inside and shouted, "Diagon Alley!"
In the blink of an eye, Kyle appeared in the Leaky Cauldron.
Perhaps because it was close to the start of the school year, the place was much livelier than usual, with wizards sitting around the few old tables drinking.
If you arrive late, you'll just have to stand to the side with your wine glass in hand.
A little while later, Fred and George arrived, followed by Mr. Weasley...
He had just stepped out of the fireplace when he nervously looked around.
"Merlin's beard... Kyle, have you seen Harry Potter?"
"No." Kyle shook his head. "Has he already been here?"
"He went into the fireplace before me," Mr. Weasley's voice trembled. "Good heavens, we've lost Harry Potter ..."
After that, Percy, Ron, Ginny, and Mrs. Weasley arrived.
Upon learning that Harry had not shown up at the Leaky Cauldron, Mrs. Weasley's face drained of color, and she nearly collapsed to the ground.
Fortunately Fred reacted quickly and caught her from behind.
"Arthur ..." she sobbed, clutching her chest, "Harry is lost... how are we going to explain this to his aunt and uncle!"
"Don't worry, Mrs. Weasley, Harry Potter will be alright," Kyle reassured her. "He probably went into the wrong furnace door. Perhaps we can go to Knockturn Alley and see; I think there should be a furnace door there too."
"Yes... you're right, that's how it should be."
Mrs. Weasley grasped at a straw, "Where's the hearth door in Knockturn Alley... Damn it, I don't remember!"
"Relax... Molly, don't be nervous."
Mr. Weasley held her hand tightly and comforted her, "I remember Kingsley telling me that when they searched Knockturn Alley ... oh, I remember now, it was Borgin and Burkes!"
"That infamous shop selling Dark Magic items?!" Mrs. Weasley's face darkened further.
She ran quickly towards the backyard of the Leaky Cauldron: "Quick... Arthur, we have to get there fast..."
Seeing this, Mr. Weasley hurriedly followed.
