Snape's Negative Emotions
Snape did not disappoint.
Everyone who failed to submit their homework received a three-day detention.
At night, they not only had to finish their homework in the cold, dark underground classroom, but also deal with the entire barrel of Potions ingredients piled up in the corner.
Although Snape didn't say what it was, judging from his sinister smile and the fishy smell that permeated the classroom, what was inside must have been terrible.
Mikel and Ryan exchanged a glance, relieved that they had escaped unscathed.
Just ten minutes ago, they had finished their Potions- making homework.
"Today we'll learn about a new Potions: the Shrinking Solution."
Snape said in his usual drawn-out tone, "I've written down the steps. Everyone should read them carefully, and then you can go and get the materials."
What are you waiting for?!
Everyone immediately left their seats and crowded around the cabinets against the wall.
As usual, Kanna's desk was covered with the materials she needed, but unlike the large bag that was always full, this time there was only one set.
This also means Kyle can no longer rub against her.
Kyle glanced at Snape and found him looking at him with a mocking gaze.
"Mean!"
Kyle pursed his lips, got up, and walked towards the cabinet.
Because he arrived too late, when he got there he found only a few broken daisy roots and two or three Shrivelfig left in the cabinet.
All materials are limited.
Snape's voice came from the podium, "So you'd better succeed the first time, and don't think about doing it again if you make a mistake!"
"The person who finishes the worst Potions before class ends will have twenty points deducted. Maybe this will motivate you to be a little more serious and brew the potion properly."
Snape's eyes never left Kyle as he said this.
Without a doubt, someone without the necessary skills will be the worst.
"I was careless..." Kyle sighed.
I'm used to getting my hands on Kanna's materials, but I never expected Snape to resort to underhanded tactics.
"You didn't receive the materials? Here, you can use this."
Suddenly, a hand reached out.
In Kyle's eyes, this arm still faintly radiated a hazy, holy light called hope.
Mikel placed a tray on Kyle's table.
"You know, my Potions always malfunction, so just in case, I always take a little extra."
"Thank you," Kyle said with delight. "You've been a great help."
"It's nothing," Mikel said, pointing to a piece of parchment on the table.
Without Kyle's help, they wouldn't have been able to finish their Potions Class homework by noon.
This was a case of mutual assistance.
Snape became unhappy after seeing that Kyle had solved his material problem.
He stared at Kyle, about to say something, when Kanna suddenly switched the positions of her bag and tray.
"This leech juice looks delicious, can I use it?"
"Of course." Kyle nodded.
Visibly, several veins bulged on Snape's forehead.
Is the leech juice in the tray better?
Are you kidding me!
The things in the cabinet were all taken out by the students who were in solitary confinement; how could they compare to the materials he prepared himself!
But seeing that Kyle and Kanna had already started cutting the daisy roots, he could only take a few deep breaths and forcibly suppress the anger in his heart.
Snape was in a bad mood... and he had to pass that mood on.
so...
"The daisy root was cut too big, Hufflepuff deducts two points..."
"The Shrivelfig skin is too thick, Hufflepuff deducts three points."
After circling around, Snape, still angry, walked up to a Slytherin student.
The student proudly raised his neck, waiting to receive praise from his dean.
His potion was a light green color, which was very close to the standard answer.
Under normal circumstances, he would definitely get extra points.
However, the next second...
"A little bit of leech juice is enough, why did you put in so much? Slytherin, deduct two points!"
Yes... Snape, still furious, even started deducting points from his own house!
Now, everyone was in a bad mood.
"What's wrong with Professor Snape?!"
During dinner, Kyle overheard students discussing the matter.
"He actually deducted twenty points from Slytherin... twenty points!"
Others didn't believe it at first.
After all, everyone at Hogwarts knows that the Potions Class professor favors Slytherin the most. Even if one of them blows up a cauldron, they will only be put in detention, not have points deducted.
"This joke isn't funny at all."
At the Gryffindor dining table, Fred glanced at Lee Jordan, who was gesticulating wildly beside him, and mocked, "Or maybe you're still half asleep and misheard 'addition' as 'deduction'."
"I'm not joking!"
Lee Jordan said with a serious expression, "This matter has spread like wildfire, don't you guys know?"
"Wait, are you serious?" George put down his cup.
I swear!
Lee Jordan pointed towards the Slytherin dining table, "Or you can take a walk around there, they're talking about that too."
Fred immediately became interested and asked, "When did this happen?"
Harry and Ron also put down their knives and forks and listened intently.
It's unbelievable that Snape would deduct points from Slytherin's records, it's like Hermione forgetting the common room password.
"It happened during Potions Class this afternoon," Lee Jordan said excitedly. "I happened to be passing by when a few third-year Slytherin were talking, and I overheard them talking about it."
"At first I thought I misheard, but then I found out that Slytherin's score hourglass really did have 20 fewer points than before!"
And they only have Potions Class in the afternoon."
"Hiss..." Harry gasped.
"You just said, third year?" Fred frowned. "Which house do they attend classes with Slytherin?"
Hufflepuff
Lee Jordan casually remarked, "These two colleges were the first to spread the news."
"Kyle!" Fred and George said at the same time.
Although they didn't know what had happened, their intuition told them that it must be related to Kyle.
Based on their years of experience, whenever anything unusual happens at Hogwarts, they can simply pin it on Kyle.
I wouldn't say it's 100% him, but he's right at least eight out of ten times.
"I wish we had been born a year later."
"And then I was assigned to Hufflepuff."
Fred and George looked up at the Hufflepuff table across from them, their eyes filled with longing.
Their biggest regret was not being in the same grade as Kyle.
That would definitely be much more exciting than what they are doing now.
