Black's History of Love and Hate
Since we boarded the train just before departure, there were basically no empty compartments left... but we didn't need any.
After walking a while, the group encountered Cedric, who had just come out of a nearby private room and was heading towards the front of the car.
"Oh, Mr. Cedric," Fred said, trotting up to him and bowing. "It's a great honor to meet you here."
"It's a great honor," George followed suit.
Cedric cautiously took a half-step back.
"You two are up to no good again."
After spending these past few years together, he knew the two brothers' personalities all too well.
It's fair to say that Cedric could tell from Fred's unconscious smile upon seeing him whether it was genuine joy at a long-awaited reunion or a deliberate act of pretense.
The answer is clearly the latter.
Being this polite is obviously suspicious.
"It's faded, the feelings have faded."
Fred sighed, "You used to run over and hug us, but just now you took a half step back."
"We've grown distant," George said, looking heartbroken. "You weren't like this before you Prefect."
"Of course, George," Fred said. "Prefect Cedric would probably rather be friends with Percy now."
"Make friends with Percy?" Fred stared in horror. "Then you'll be carrying around that book, ' How Prefects Gain Power,' all the time?"
"I'm afraid that's correct." George nodded seriously.
"Kyle, you absolutely must never become Prefect!"
"Because that would make your life very boring."
Kyle was happily watching the show, suddenly stopped laughing... He hadn't said a word, so why was he being dragged into this mess?
He's only in fourth grade, and Fred and George are already thinking about next year for him?
What kind of deep-seated hatred do these two brothers have for the Prefect?!
"What are you talking about?"
At this point, Cedric frowned, looking at them with disdain, and said, "Also, how did you know I Prefect? I don't recall telling you."
As he said before, having spent so much time together, Cedric knew his two friends' personalities all too well.
And this wasn't the first or second time they'd made sarcastic remarks about Percy.
So he never intended to tell them about it from the beginning, thinking he could delay it as long as possible. Even when he came out just now, he wasn't wearing his Prefect Badge.
"Do you even need to tell me?" Fred rolled his eyes. "First in the grade for four years in a row, who else could be the Prefect but you?"
"I bet you've never been to the Ministry of Magic before," George suddenly couldn't help but laugh. "There are two pieces of news that are mentioned most often in the Ministry of Magic right now."
"Sirius Black..."
"And also, you've become the new Prefect..."
"Mr. Diggory is really something," Fred said. "His publicity efforts alone are almost on par with the Daily Prophet."
Cedric's face flushed instantly. "He specifically promised me he wouldn't tell anyone."
Kyle shook his head beside him.
Cedric was too naive; it's like trying to stop Percy from showing off his Head Boy badge... impossible!
"So, you're going to the Prefect' box now?" Kyle asked.
"I didn't want to go," Cedric said, "But Percy reminded me three times in five minutes that I absolutely had to go."
"Then go ahead." George patted him on the shoulder. "Oh, by the way, remember to ask him if the previous Head Boy also told people he had an unusually large head."
"And he even wore it around his neck... I personally think that's kind of ridiculous."
What are you doing here?
Suddenly, Percy appeared behind them.
"What were you talking about that was so ridiculous..."
"Nothing," Fred mumbled. "We just saw someone wearing a really funny badge...it was hilarious."
Percy frowned. His intuition told him that something was wrong with Fred and George, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"I'm warning you, you'd better behave yourselves, or else..."
"Points deducted?"
"Or solitary confinement?"
"We just talked for a bit in the hallway," Fred said. "That shouldn't be against school rules, right?"
"I'll be watching over you..."
Percy's expression darkened. He ignored the two of them and turned to Cedric. "Hurry up, I have some things to announce for the professor. I'm waiting for you."
Cedric shrugged and followed him toward the front of the car.
Afterwards, Kyle and his friends found the private room he had come out of.
Kanna and Cho were already inside, along with Ginny and Luna.
Four girls were sitting together watching "The Quibbler," but apart from Luna, the other three were clearly not very interested.
When Kyle and the others came in, Qiu even yawned.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"Some... very interesting conjectures."
Kanna whispered, "This magazine says that Sirius Black was actually deliberately released by Fudge to secretly eliminate those who didn't support him."
"Perhaps that's the truth," Luna said, looking up. "Otherwise, why would the Ministry of Magic have searched for him for a month without finding anything?"
"And this..." Ginny craned her neck and read aloud, "There might be some unknown relationship between Sirius Black and Fudge."
After Fudge took office, he was constrained at every turn and was unpopular, so Black voluntarily gave up his free life and risked his life to enter Azkaban to win over those heinous criminals for Fudge.
After more than a decade, he may have assembled a secret army to clear obstacles for Fudge, and all those who opposed him have been poisoned.
But Fudge couldn't bear to let Black stay in that dark and gloomy place any longer, so he secretly released him... Their bond was much deeper than we imagined."
Kyle clicked his tongue.
What is this, the story that Black and Fudge had to tell?
The person who wrote this article is amazing.
Black's expression would be priceless if he saw this.
It's a pity that "The Quibbler" didn't sell well; it would have been better if it had been published in the Daily Prophet.
"But everyone knows Sirius Black is a Death Eaters," Ginny asked, puzzled. "How could he possibly be one of Fudge's men?"
"That's just a facade," Luna said. "The contributor mentioned that Black is the only Death Eaters hasn't been tried, which is very likely Fudge using his privileges to pull strings behind the scenes."
"But he wasn't a minister back then, was he?"
"And that's how it happened," Luna said. "And there were no competitors."
The carriage was quiet.
It seems... at first glance, it actually makes a lot of sense. If they hadn't already known about Black's story, they might have believed it.
Kyle couldn't help but shake his head; he was also reminded of an episode of "The Quibbler" from a few years ago.
At that time, there was an article that said Fudge had the Department of Mysteries develop a poison specifically to control his opponents.
Diana was so angry at the time that she almost grabbed her wand and went to have a heart-to-heart talk with Mr. Lovegood.
I never expected that after several years, the content would still be connected... So the poison Black used was developed by the Department of Mysteries.
No wonder Chris said before that foreign wizards might like this magazine; the love-hate relationships and gossip about the Minister for Magic are indeed quite interesting to read for entertainment.
And if this person is a minister from another country, the amusement will double.
After all, they don't know much about other countries, so reading this doesn't require much brainpower; they can just enjoy it.
