Professor Lupin's First Pot of Gold
The person who came in was a little witch, who looked about twelve or thirteen years old, and was also one of the onlookers at the door.
"Are there any badges left?" Seeing that Kyle didn't answer, she asked again, "I'd like to buy one too."
"Of course!" Kyle, realizing what was happening, quickly reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful more. "How much do you want?"
"One will do." The little witch stepped forward, picked out a silver one, and gave Kyle two Galleon.
Not everyone loses things as often as Neville, so naturally, they don't need to buy so many.
"Oh... you have a good eye, Australian Opaleye scales."
Kyle laughed, "That's a very powerful Dragon; it can swallow a whole sheep in one gulp."
"Is this Dragon very powerful?" The little witch seemed quite surprised.
"They're amazing." Kyle nodded affirmatively. "And they're the most beautiful of Dragon, and they're very popular."
The little witch's eyes grew brighter and brighter, and she happily walked away, clutching the badge.
With her as a precedent, the others who were still watching outside couldn't resist and came in one after another.
Two Galleon is expensive, but it's only the beginning of the school year, and they have the most pocket money at that time, so Galleon can afford it.
And they prefer it to be expensive; if it's too cheap, they won't dare to buy it.
Not to mention these are Dragon scales, which are quite durable. Even if you don't need them anymore, you can sell them in Diagon Alley... for at least a Galleon.
The first few people picked all the white ones, but the little wizard hesitated for a long time before choosing a blue one.
"Oh, the Swedish Short-Snout ..." Kyle chuckled. "They possess a unique blue flame and are incredibly agile, making them a nightmare for other Fantastic Beasts."
Is it very strong?
"That's beyond doubt," Kyle laughed. "A wise choice. I bet you're a Ravenclaw."
"That's right!"
Then someone else picked out a green one.
"The Welsh Green, their dragonfire can shoot twenty feet away..."
Some people even chose brass...
"The Peruvian Vipertooth possesses far more lethal weapons compared to other Dragon."
More and more people gathered around, but not all of them were there to buy anything; most were just curious and came to see what was going on.
After all, most students have less than ten Galleon in pocket money, and that's for an entire school year; two Galleon is not a small amount.
Besides, in their view, Dementor couldn't possibly get into the school, so spending two Galleon on a badge was a bit extravagant... even though it really looked great.
Fortunately, watching the excitement doesn't cost money.
Everyone crowded around outside, and soon the door frame of the private room began to creak, as it was squeezed and became somewhat Transfiguration.
"Ron, could you please help maintain order?"
Kyle turned around and said, "I'll pay you two Galleon."
Ron initially wanted to refuse when he heard the first part of the sentence, because he still had to take care of Harry.
Until Kyle finished speaking the second half of his sentence...
"No problem, leave it to me!"
He shoved Harry into a corner, then immediately stood up, head held high, and strode towards the door. "Those buying things, line up! Everyone else, return to your boxes..."
"Keep quiet... What? You're asking who I am? My brother is the student council president!"
Not only Ron, but even Lupin got up to maintain order.
Of course, he wasn't after those two Galleon... but because of his duty as a professor.
As an adult wizard, his words naturally carried more weight than Ron's. The onlookers quickly left, and those who were there to buy things lined up and entered the private rooms in an orderly fashion.
Thirty minutes later, Kyle saw off the last group of people, and at the same time, the train gradually came to a stop.
This time we've truly arrived at our destination.
The students began to disembark from the train. Kyle took two Galleon and handed them to Ron. "Here you go, we agreed."
Ron excitedly rubbed his hands on his clothes before carefully taking it.
He squinted, carefully feeling the Galleon in his hand. It was like a dream; it was the first time he had ever owned so much money.
Then, Kyle took out two more Galleon and gave them to Lupin.
Lupin was staring blankly at the pile of Galleon, but after seeing Kyle's actions, he quickly shook his head, resolutely refusing.
"I'm a professor..." he said earnestly, "Helping is the right thing to do."
"No, the principal hasn't announced this yet, so strictly speaking, you're not a real professor yet."
Kyle tossed two Galleon at him without a word. "Here you go, sir. As a professor, you should at least have a proper robe."
After saying that, Kyle left the private room.
Lupin quickly caught the two Galleon, intending to return them, but looking at the patches on his clothes, he hesitated.
Kyle is right, he does need a decent outfit.
Never mind, I'll pay him back when I get my salary.
Lupin shook his head with amusement. He hadn't expected that the first money he received at Hogwarts wouldn't be Dumbledore's salary, but rather a tip from a student.
Thirty minutes, two Galleon... Before this, he couldn't earn that much in two months.
"Students these days are really rich," Lupin thought to himself.
On the other side, after Kyle got off the train, he suddenly reached out with both hands, one on the left and one on the right.
"What about our payment?" Fred asked.
"What reward?" Kyle looked at him, puzzled.
"Don't play dumb, you can't fool me," George said. "We helped too, as did Cedric and Ginny."
"Hurry up and give us the money, two Galleon. We can't afford to get less than Ron."
"Payment? None!" Kyle said matter-of-factly. "Isn't it your duty to help?"
"So..." Fred raised an eyebrow, his expression unfriendly.
Kyle continued walking forward, saying without turning his head, "No money, stay out of the way..."
"Then George and I will get two Galleon in total..." Fred lowered his demands, "Or maybe no Galleon, Sickle will do."
"No."
"Even just one Knut would be better."
"Knut doesn't have any, how about Neville?"
Fred and George turned green with rage.
Ginny, holding a large handful of candy, giggled incessantly beside her.
Cedric was also smiling. He naturally knew why Kyle was making excuses to give Ron and Professor Lupin Galleon; after all, without them, those badges wouldn't have sold so quickly.
The group arrived at the carriage amidst laughter and chatter, where Kanna, Cho, and Luna were already waiting.
Because they weren't familiar with Harry and the others, they hadn't gone there with Kyle beforehand, but had stayed in the box instead.
I thought they would be back in ten minutes, but I never expected to wait until now.
"Why did you take so long?"
"Is Harry Potter badly injured?" Kanna asked. "We tried to go check on him, but there were so many people there that they blocked the road, we couldn't get in at all."
"It's not serious," Kyle said. "Young people are just prone to drowsiness; a good night's sleep will fix it."
"Then why did you take so long?"
"A small thing happened along the way... I'll explain on the way."
Kyle was the first to board a carriage and used the Undetectable Extension Charm until there was enough room for eight people to sit inside.
He was already quite skilled at using this spell.
After that, the others also boarded the carriage.
