Dark Mark
The sounds of the Auror outside drifted into the tent, and Charlie finally breathed a sigh of relief. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, then couldn't help but raise his foot and kick Malfoy repeatedly.
"This is a rare opportunity..." Charlie turned to Kyle and said, "That guy was laughing the loudest just now, and he was also the first to use the Cruciatus Curse. I've wanted to do this for a long time."
"The Cruciatus Curse?" Kyle frowned. "Then you..."
"Oh, it's okay, Dad was lucky to dodge it... twice in a row."
As he spoke, Charlie got angry again, raised his foot that he had just put down, and kicked Malfoy Kuku again.
During this time, Malfoy seemed to be waking up, so Charlie promptly cast a Stunning Spell and continued kicking.
Kyle also walked over with a bottle in his hand.
The noise outside gradually subsided, and the sky no longer twinkled like fireworks.
After about an hour, the surroundings gradually quieted down.
Mr. Weasley has returned, and he's with a group of serious-looking Auror.
As soon as the Auror entered the tent, they saw several people tied together in a corner.
"Merlin's beard!" one of them exclaimed, clearly recognizing the group. "They're all from those Pure-blood families... Arthur, are you sure you're not mistaken?"
"Of course not, Dawlish, I assure you," said Mr. Weasley, pointing to a pile of hoods and masks beside him. "These are their belongings. And Madam Olympe Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, can also attest to that."
"Olympe Maxime?" Dawlish was somewhat surprised.
He certainly knew that Olympe Maxime held a prestigious position and wielded considerable influence in France.
He just hadn't expected that a foreign wizard would be involved, especially such a famous one.
"These people tried to kidnap Beauxbatons ' students before," Mr. Weasley explained. "They seem to be trying to use that to blackmail Olympe Maxime into doing something."
"Despicable tactics." Dawlish scoffed, waving his wand and dragging them out of the tent.
"Thank you for your hard work, Arthur."
After they were dragged away, Dawlish smiled and said to Mr. Weasley, "You beat seven men in one! I never knew you were so good... You should be Auror."
"You've misunderstood. It's because..." Mr. Weasley was about to explain, but then, remembering the illegal Biting Cabbage, he immediately shut his mouth and said instead, "It wasn't just me; the children helped a lot too."
"To catch them unscathed from a four-on-seven battle is impressive enough," Dawlish said. "If you ask me, you should really consider becoming Auror; it's much better than that cramped office you're in now."
"It really wasn't my doing," Mr. Weasley tried to explain, but found himself unable to escape the Biting Cabbage, and eventually his face turned red with frustration.
"Alright, I understand. It seems you really enjoy your job," Dawlish said with a chuckle. "But we have to go, Arthur. We have a lot to do. See you at the ministry."
"Alright." Mr. Weasley nodded reluctantly.
After the Auror left, Mr. Weasley wiped the dirt-covered sweat from his face with his robes. He looked at Kyle, hesitated for a long time, and then said, "Those Biting Cabbage..."
"I got it from the school greenhouse," Kyle said. "I'm going to use it to brew Potions."
"I have no doubt about that," Mr. Weasley shook his head, "But it's against the rules, and if someone keeps bringing it up, you could be in trouble."
"It's alright, Dad." Bill walked over and patted his chest. "Just say I gave the Biting Cabbage to Kyle. As a Curse-Breaker, especially in such a dangerous place as the pyramids, it's perfectly acceptable to bring some magical plants for self-defense."
"No, let's pin the blame on me," Charlie stepped forward as well.
"Biting Cabbage is one of the favorite snacks of Chinese Fireball, and I work in Romanian Dragon Sanctuary, so it makes perfect sense for me to carry some Dragon snacks with me, right?"
"Thank you, but I don't think it's necessary." Kyle smiled and shook his head.
"The wounds caused by the Biting Cabbage aren't difficult to treat. I just used a special Potions and healing magic on them. Judging by the time, the wounds should be almost healed."
"That's good," said Mr. Weasley. "If that's the case, it will save us a lot of trouble..."
Bill, standing to the side, raised an eyebrow for no apparent reason.
I didn't pay attention to it before because I was nervous, but now that I think about it...
He used the Disillusionment Charm to launch a sneak attack, then used Potions to wipe away the wound caused by the Biting Cabbage... Wow, Kyle's entire operation was flawless.
What exactly did he learn in school these past few years...?
However, Mr. Weasley didn't pay much attention to that. He looked at Kyle, about to ask where Harry and Ron were, when another exclamation came from outside.
"Oh, damn it, isn't it over yet?"
Mr. Weasley ran out of the tent, but the next second, he was drawn to something flashing in the air.
It was an enormous skeleton, and a huge python emerged from its mouth...
Mr. Weasley's eyes widened in surprise. He knew this thing all too well, or rather, any older wizard would know it.
"Merlin's beard..." Mr. Weasley exclaimed in surprise, unable to help but say, "Why is there Dark Mark here? Weren't Malfoy already captured?"
He had always believed that Lucius Malfoy was the mastermind behind the riot, but now it seemed that there were others involved, and even more brazen Malfoy.
In the Wizarding World, the Dark Mark is not something that can be cast casually, especially after Voldemort's downfall. If someone is caught doing something reckless, the crime is not much lighter than using the Unforgivable Curses.
Bill and Charlie, who were following behind, also saw the flashing Dark Mark in the sky.
"It looks like there are still some who escaped," Charlie said.
"Dad, should we go over and take a look?"
Mr. Weasley naturally wanted to go, after all, it was the Dark Mark that hadn't appeared for over a decade, and even he was curious to find out what was going on.
But before he could make a decision, a loud explosion rang out all around him.
Sometime during the day, the restriction against Apparition in the camp was lifted, and the moment they saw the Dark Mark, nearly half of the Auror and Hit Wizard rushed over.
There were about fifty people.
"Never mind..." Mr. Weasley shook his head. "There are already enough people. Even if we went, we wouldn't be of much help."
