Snape's Intuition
Before the Quidditch Match began in the afternoon, Snape approached Madam Hooch, claiming that the players from his house were suffering from mental and physical health issues, and requested that the match be postponed.
Madam Hooch seemed to know what had happened at noon, and without much thought, she agreed, preparing to have Ravenclaw replace Slytherin.
"Madam Hooch, I don't think Gryffindor is fit to compete today either."
Snape glanced in the direction of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team and said, "I have some things I need to ask those two Weasley."
"Couldn't we wait until the game was over?" Madam Hooch frowned.
If both teams were to be replaced, the tournament would be completely disrupted, and rescheduling would be very troublesome.
Snape drawled, "It's urgent, Madam Hooch."
"Well... alright." Although reluctant, Snape was, after all, a full-fledged professor at the school and the headmaster, so he had the right to intervene in Quidditch Match.
Madam Hooch had no choice but to agree.
However, she still offered a word of caution. "Headmaster Snape, I hope this won't happen again. Rearranging the matches is a real hassle."
"Believe me, I don't want this to happen either, but I just don't know what they're thinking..."
Snape turned and went to Gryffindor, taking Fred and George with him without a word.
Charlie stepped forward to stop him, but was penalized ten points as soon as he opened his mouth.
"Talking back to the professor, Weasley, Gryffindor loses ten points," Snape said coldly. "If you don't move aside, I'll deduct twenty points next time."
Charlie's face turned red with anger. He clenched his fists tightly, veins bulging on his arms. Then he took a deep breath, lifted his leg, and... moved to the side.
"Take care, Professor Snape."
Snape loosened his grip on his wand slightly, gave a cold snort, and then left the Quidditch Pitch with Fred and George.
But no sooner had he left than Charlie stormed into Professor McGonagall's office, cursing and swearing.
Slytherin have no sense of honor; not only did they frame them, but they even called for backup. They have no class whatsoever.
It's just thighs, right? Everyone has them.
Their Gryffindor dog is the vice-principal... In terms of official rank, he's much higher Snape.
Meanwhile, back at the castle, Snape, along with Fred and George, made their way to the Potions Office.
However, the twins were not nervous at all; on the contrary, they looked around the office furnishings with great interest.
It's just average.
Not only was it cramped, but the tables and chairs were also outdated, and the floorboards creaked when you stepped on them.
If you ignored the Potions ingredients, they might even think they'd wandered into a secondhand furniture store.
It's nowhere near as good as Professor McGonagall's.
"Professor Snape, what brings you here?" Fred asked first.
Snape said slowly, "What's the story behind that package you received this morning?"
"We don't know either, Professor," George said calmly, taking a piece of paper from his pocket and placing it on the table beside him.
"There was no signature on it, so we thought the owl had delivered it to the wrong address."
"Yes," Fred nodded, "We searched for a long time but couldn't find the owner of the package. Just when we were about to hand it over to Professor McGonagall, the package disappeared."
George continued, "Professor, do you know who stole... that package?"
Whether intentionally or not, George emphasized the word "steal" and even paused for a moment.
But Snape acted as if he hadn't heard him and continued, "So, you mean that package wasn't bought by you?"
Don't try to fool me, I know it comes from Zonko's, I'll go to Hogsmeade to ask later."
"Of course, that's your prerogative, Professor." Fred's expression remained unchanged.
"However, if you know who stole that package, please be sure to tell us. After all, it was lost while we were in its possession, and we wouldn't be able to explain it to the owner if they came looking for it."
Snape's eye twitched, but he pretended not to hear again.
"Weasley, you guys..."
"Bang bang bang~"
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Professor McGonagall walked in from outside.
"Severus, I heard you took Fred and George away." Professor McGonagall pursed her lips, her expression serious. "Did they do something wrong?"
"We didn't, Professor McGonagall," Fred quickly protested.
George quickly added, "Professor Snape wanted to speak with us about that package."
Professor McGonagall thought for a moment and said, "Is it the unsigned package you told me about before?"
"Yes, that's it," Fred said. "But it's missing, and we suspect someone stole it."
"Stealing? At Hogwarts?" Professor McGonagall's lips tightened. "If I find out who it is, I'll deduct a hundred points—no, two hundred."
"Ahem..." Snape suddenly coughed twice and said, "Actually, it belonged to one of our Slytherin students. He saw it and took it."
Professor McGonagall paused slightly, "From your college?"
"Yes, from our house." Snape's face was a little pale, and he said through gritted teeth, "I called Weasley this time to confirm the situation with them."
"I see..."
Professor McGonagall's expression softened considerably, though she glanced at Snape with some displeasure. "This could have been discussed on the field. Why interrupt the game?"
Snape didn't say anything, but in his heart he cursed Rosier as an idiot.
After that, Professor McGonagall went back, taking Fred and George with her.
Snape did not stop it.
In fact, he never doubted the two Weasley from the very beginning.
The styles are completely different.
The only reason I called them over was to try and get some information out of them, and maybe lose another 30 or 50 points to ease my mind.
He hadn't expected Professor McGonagall to arrive so quickly, and the two men seemed to have been prepared, directly labeling the incident as "theft" in front of Professor McGonagall.
He couldn't even find a single fault with it.
Because that's simply a fact; if the Slytherin hadn't stolen the package, none of what happened afterward would have occurred.
"That idiot Rosier is practically Troll's relative!" Snape cursed inwardly again.
However, after what had just happened, he was even more certain that this matter had nothing to do with Weasley, or at least that they were not the masterminds.
Weasley's brain isn't that sharp.
Snape stood there for a moment, lost in thought. For some reason, an honest, kind-hearted (crossed out), cunning, and hypocritical face suddenly flashed through his mind.
"Kyle Chopper ..." Snape muttered to himself.
Although no matter how you look at it, Kyle has absolutely nothing to do with this matter, not even remotely, Snape's intuition tells him that Kyle is definitely not innocent.
That's right, it was just intuition, and it had nothing to do with him leading Kanna astray.
