With Kyle's help, Hagrid finally managed to get all the Christmas trees into the Great Hall before the dinner.

When they arrived, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were already waiting in the Great Hall.

"Hagrid, you've finally arrived. These are the last two... Oh, great Levitation Charm, Mr. Chopper, Hufflepuff plus five points."

Professor Flitwick was wondering why Hagrid could lift two Christmas trees so easily, but when he got closer, he found Kyle holding a wand next to him.

"If final exams were Levitation Charm... I could put an 'O' on your card right now."

Professor Flitwick winked at Kyle, then used the same Levitation Charm to catch the two fir trees and placed them in the appropriate spot.

Professor McGonagall then wove the mistletoe into hanging ribbons, filling the last gap in the wall.

A few minutes later, a large number of students began to pour into the Great Hall, and the banquet officially began.

At the dinner table, Cedric looked at Kyle in surprise and said, "What? You're saying you're not going home for Christmas?"

"Hmm." Kyle nodded. "There's no other way. There's no one home, and there's no point in going back. It's better to stay at Hogwarts."

Chris is responsible for returning the Fantastic Beasts they captured to their original habitats, and he's been traveling the world with Newt lately.

It seems the Department of Mysteries has also gone out on a mission. A few days ago, Diana sent him a letter saying that she might not be able to come back for Christmas, but the gift would definitely arrive on time.

Chris and Diana aren't home, so there's no point in Kyle going back. He might as well stay at Hogwarts, where at least he'll have something to do.

For example, you could try to build a relationship with Fluffy, or water his two ornamental plants.

"Why don't you come to my house?" Cedric thought for a moment and said, "My dad would definitely welcome you."

"Next time," Kyle shook his head. "I just told Hagrid I'd help him take care of his animals during the holidays."

Cedric looked somewhat disappointed.

Kyle, on the other hand, frankly didn't want to face Mr. Diggory, that baby-obsessed maniac, let alone spend two weeks with him.

Even just thinking about it gave Kyle a headache; Chris alone could handle this kind of treatment.

To distract Cedric and make him forget the topic, Kyle turned to Kanna and asked, "What about you? Are you going back for the holidays?"

Kanna didn't speak, she just shook her head slightly.

Seeing this, Kyle didn't ask any more questions.

After the dinner, the semester came to an end.

The next day, the young wizards took the train back to King's Cross Station.

Mikel and Ryan went home, leaving Kyle alone in the dorm. Even the once bustling common room was now much quieter.

This feeling is not bad either.

Kyle was sitting on a sofa near the fireplace, roasting a potato with the skin on, with some flatbread, mushrooms, and thinly sliced beef next to him.

Although the House-elf offered to bake the ingredients for Kyle when he went to the kitchen, he refused.

All he wanted was the process; eating was secondary.

Kyle held the roasting fork and waited until the potatoes gradually turned black before taking them out.

After cooling, peel off the outer skin, and take a bite—it's sweet, soft, and incredibly delicious.

It's just that the heat wasn't controlled properly; the inside was still raw.

Kyle used a spoon to scoop out the raw piece and tossed it to a mouse not far away.

"Kyle ..." Kanna glared at him fiercely, "Don't give Pochi those weird things to eat!"

"It's just a potato, what's so strange about it?" Kyle waved his hand dismissively, "Besides, what field mouse doesn't eat potatoes!"

As if deliberately going against him, the mouse named Pochi glanced at the undercooked potato, turned around and went elsewhere, showing no intention of trying it.

"Good heavens, even a mouse is picky about food." Kyle, feeling a bit embarrassed, said seriously to Kanna, "I think you should let it go hungry for a few meals."

Kanna ignored him and left the common room with Pochi.

It's the Christmas holiday season, and the caretaker's cat won't be wandering around the castle corridors all the time, so she's planning to take this opportunity to walk her pet and let it explore Hogwarts as well.

We've been here for so long, we can't just keep it locked up in the dorm forever.

After Kanna left, Kyle was left alone in the lounge. Feeling a bit bored, he finished what he had on hand and didn't stay any longer. Instead, he got up and went to the Room of Requirement on the Seventh Floor.

After three months of hard work by Kyle, in addition to Biting Cabbage, there are now Dittany, Rue, Belladonna, mistletoe, sedge... and a beautiful Golden Silk Hoya.

There's not much to say about the first three; they're all common magical plants, and you can buy their seeds in Hogsmeade. Kyle simply had someone bring back a whole bag of them.

As for the last one... it comes from Hufflepuff's common room.

One evening, Kyle couldn't resist and cut a small branch with flower buds from the lush Golden Silk Hoya...

It's really a very small piece, only about an inch long, and won't have any effect on it.

I originally planted it here just to give it a try, but I never expected it to actually succeed.

Although he looks very young now, Kyle is already content. As long as he survives, he'll grow up eventually.

Kyle went straight to the center.

The Biting Cabbage is growing well. In just three months, it has grown from a seed to the size of Bludger. Its wide-open mouth has two rows of sharp teeth that look very powerful. Taking a bite would definitely be satisfying.

Kyle loosened the soil around them and chased away the Billywig that kept hovering above his head.

"I'm busy right now, go play somewhere else."

A few days ago, he accidentally saved the Billywig from Mrs. Norris's mouth, which was almost made into lunch.

The little guy had a long gash on his body, probably from being scratched by Mrs. Norris... Kyle simply brought it here and treated it with Dittany.

Then... it just refused to leave.

Fortunately, the little guy was quite obedient; after Kyle finished speaking, it obediently flew to the side.

This place is huge, with lots of magical plants, and most importantly, that cat that jumps so high isn't here anymore; it really likes it...

After loosening the soil around the Biting Cabbage, Kyle walked around the room again.

He still felt the place was a bit empty. Although he had quite a few seeds of Dittany and Rue, it felt like a waste to plant only ordinary magical plants in such a good spot.

Kyle stroked his chin, looking thoughtfully at the large open space on the left side of the room that he had deliberately left out.

If he remembers correctly, he should be learning Devil's Snare in Herbology Class soon.
