Zou Island.

An island located in the New World.

Legend had it that Zou Island rested on the back of a giant elephant. The elephant had lived for thousands of years, its feet reaching all the way to the seabed, its body towering into the clouds, and its back capable of carrying an entire island as it moved.

Zou Island was inhabited by the Mink Tribe. Put simply, they were beastmen.

The Mink Tribe loathed outsiders and did not allow anyone near their land. As a result, Zou Island had never fallen under the jurisdiction of the World Government.

Moreover, because Zou Island was a moving island, even the Log Poses commonly used to guide routes through the New World could not lead anyone there.

After Bogard briefly explained Zou Island's situation to Garp, Garp fell silent.

Roger was on an unreachable moving island. How was he supposed to chase him?!

The ropes along the ship's side were loosened, and the Dog-head Warship's anchor slowly rose. The sails unfurled, and the ship began moving forward. Waves churned across the sea, while the roar of the warship's engines echoed through the Naval Port.

Garp waved to Rocca, then returned to the deck.

Standing on the pier, Major General Rocca watched Garp disappear from view at the bow. He smiled and shook his head, murmuring, "I wonder if this old man will get to taste those local specialties you bring back."

Major General Rocca's body seemed to stoop a little further. He watched the departing Dog-head Warship without a word for a long time. Only after it had completely vanished beyond the horizon did he turn around and slowly head back toward the branch base.

Rocca knew Garp was strong, but he also knew the Roger Pirates were no easy opponents. Even Garp would face great danger.

The Leman Pirates had a total bounty of 210 million Berries, while Captain Casper Layman alone had a bounty as high as 80 million.

They had only entered the New World this year, but they were already a renowned large pirate crew from the West Blue. Their most famous feat was successfully escaping the encirclement of three warships, each led by a Marine major general, just after entering the New World. Before escaping, they had even sunk one of the warships.

Yet at that moment, directly behind the Leman Pirates, a Dog-head Warship flying the Marine flag was rapidly closing in on them.

The people aboard that warship seemed never to have heard of the Leman Pirates. With only a single ship, they actually dared to close in.

"Captain! It's too late! They're moving too fast. We need to evade them first!"

Hearing their captain's shout, the Leman Pirates' crew hurriedly ran toward the engine room. One experienced crew member saw the Dog-head Warship's speed and quickly warned him.

"Too late?!"

"Evade?!"

"They only have one warship, and we're supposed to evade?!"

"Even three Marine warships couldn't take me down. You think I'd evade?!"

"A little damage doesn't matter! Don't evade! Bring the ship alongside them and board the Marines!"

Casper Layman roared. He grabbed one of his subordinates by the collar and viciously flung him away. Then he rushed to the stern, leaped onto the sternpost, and swung his blade, cutting through two incoming cannonballs.

The cannonballs split in two midair before exploding. Neither detonated on the pirate ship.

After blocking the two cannonballs, Casper Layman saw that no more shots were fired from the distant warship. A smile immediately appeared on his face.

"Hmph, did they see my strength and give up on shelling us?!"
