Lin Yue and the others held off the Headless Shadows while Chen Xi, controlling Andres, fought the Lamenter high above them. The giant shadow unleashed a powerful attack that Lin Yue blocked, while Chen Xi continued searching for a way to overcome the Lamenter’s innate ability.

• Emma reported that the north was secure as her Drawing Creatures fought the Headless Shadows and helped Gu Yu defend the south.
• Gu Yu crushed shadows with her Solid Stars, and Lin Yue urged her to focus and trust that Chen Xi would win.

Chen Xi weakened and destroyed the Lamenter’s illusion, then discovered that its origin of reincarnation was bringing it back in a newborn-like form. As the Lamenter began to emerge from its black cocoon, Chen Xi watched with her unused trump card still in reserve.

• Chen Xi reasoned that the Lamenter’s power might stem from reincarnation rather than death or time, and wondered whether the illusion could use that ability at all.
• Chen Xi noticed that Andres’s Wither was weakening the Lamenter’s defenses, then attacked it with musical notes while the Replica’s invisible hands overwhelmed it.
